Anyone Have The Carbonfiber Hks Titanium Tip Exhaust?

I was just wondering if anyone here got it or know how it sounded? I think I'll be picking up mine tommarow, and wondered if it was really loud or not. Since I have a racing beat exhaust on mine right now, its really quite, but I thought I should have another exhaust for times I wanna cut loose thru tunnels . Anyways, if anyone has purchased it, info on it would be nice, was it a paint to install? does the muffler scratch alot? is it quite or loud? whatevers... thanks...

It's loud but not too bad depends on your mods. It's just as loud as teh Apex N1. It has a deeper sound than the regular Hiper due to the different piping and wraped canister.

BTW there are holes for a silencer but it does not come with one. If you buy the silencer is was desigened for the Universal muffler and WILL NOT FIT the canister for the FD w/o modification.

Ok i just put it on this morning and replaced my plug wires.... that thing is freakin "Loud", I think I'll keep my racing beat around when i get a ticket for this one :p . its alot deeper growl then i thought which is cool... Im running a highflow cat and DP.. so It soulds pretty nice acually. very deep growl on low rmps... gets quiter at midrange and a high pitch wine at top end... SO I like it... now if i can jus find a tunnel to drive thru....

HKS calls it a "burned" look. It's kinda a new trend in Japan. Lots of the high powered cars in Japan especially FDs kicking flames tend to discolor their exhausts due to extreme heat. The new TI tipped exhausts in Japan have the tip already discolored to simulate this.

If you see the tip in person it looks pretty bad ***. I've gone through about 5 diff exhausts and swapped out my regular Hiper for the CF TI once i saw it. Seriously it does not look rice it is pretty bad ***.

The CF TI is a US market exhaust only. Limited application for the higher performance turbo cars(but they do have it for the IS300).

In Japan they have a similar exhaust but w/o the CF over the canister. Stainless piping/canister with TI "burned" tip.

75mm piping with 120mm tip. Currently the non CF wraped HIper with TI tip is not available in the US.

I really like this exhaust. The carbon fiber overlay is a great feature, it lets Hondas know you mean business. The already blued or burned tip is also a nice touch. Makes it look like our exhuast get really hot or something. It also has a nice bend in the piping for max horse power. I hear that HKS is coming out with one that will also have a Neon light tip that changes colors. Looks good with the washer nozels and and vavle stem caps.
