Injector questions

Hi-I have been trying to find a particular RX7 injector-it comes from early turbo 2 models. I have found four of them-part number 195500-1370-they have a purple top. I also picked another 4 with the exact same part number, and the plug looks the same, although these have a beige top. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the differences between the two-Thanks-Eric

195500-2010 - dunno

195500-1350 - 1986-87 non-turbo 460cc 1.5-3 ohm. Color should be brown

195500-1370 - 1986-87 turbo 550cc 1.5-3 ohm. Color should be purple.

This info came from TSB 033/87

Lars

Thanks-that kinda helps, but at the same time it confuses me more-the injectors I have are both 195500-1370. The purple top one I know are 550's-the light/brown-beige ones I don't know. The injectors appear exactly the same-same black body, same exact top/plug. If anyone can help out-don't hesitate Thanks all and have a safe holiday season--Eric

I think you have 550's. Any way, there is a locating tab on them. Is that tab centered or offset from center? Have you ohm'd them out to see if they are low impedence(2-3 ohms) or high impedence,12ohm? Just curious.

I just checked them both and both the purple top ones and the tan ones come in at 2.3x ohms. I know that the purple top ones are 550's for sure. I may just send one of the tan ones out to RC to be flow tested to be 100% sure they are 550's. It just baffles me that they would use two different colors, but the same part number. Both the plugs appear to in center, and they both are exactly the same-Thanks-Eric

The purple top ones turn tan under heat and age.&nbsp They should be both the same model fuel injector - confirmed by the identical part numbers.
