Help Please!!!

Hey everyone, I'll give you all the low down on my fd first...
It was converted from an automatic to a 5 speed manual
1993 touring, and is running the automatic wiring harness with it tricked to be in "drive all the time".

It has street ported motor, 3 mm hurley apex seals, open intake, down pipe, a badly clogged cat and the factory cat back. I will soon have a free flow exhaust.

Today I hooked up my pfc, turbo timer, and boost gauge.
The motor is still in a break in process.

The car now idle hunts from 1000-approximately 2300 and doesnt stopp some times it even stalls out I tried letting it learn the idle, but it started stalling out. The rear defrost and the air bag warning lights flash constantly now.

I have a few ideas as to why it might be all screwed up.
1. The engine harness needs to be converted to a 5 speed one
2. Incorrect installation of pfc
3. The clogged cat and the factory cat back might be messing up the o2 sensor and that needs to be changed

Can anyone help me please??

Also, I had a, what looked to be a ground, wire seperately attached to one side of the PFC what is that black wire?

Thanks to everyone in advance
Edwin

The hunting idle thing is very tricky, there are a lot of things that it can be.

1. Check all grounds for black current
2. Try to unplug the ISC and set idle manually
3. Adjust the air beed screw
4. Have someone familar with the PCF try to tune it out

My tuner said that this is one of the hardest things to diagnos. I would try the simple things and then you might have to take it to someone with more knowlege. Do a search on this forum, this is a very common problem so there are lots of threads on it.

It's definitely related to the AT harness vs the 5spd one.

I would guess it's the harness. I don't understand how you tricked it into thinking it's in drive. The only thing you have to do is jump the lockup, no need to mess with the gear wires.

Went and checked my sensors today. The fuel temp sensor is highlighted. What does this mean?
