Yo,

Looks great man! For lazy folk like me:

*grin*

Did you put TII side skirts on? Your car looks great with just the MS front lip...really sets everything off. Great lookin' FC!

steve's_dog: You have to dry it by hand. You can't just let it dry in the sun. Get a good chamois and put some elbow grease into it.

the wheels are ADR Stage II's, 17X7 and eventually will be replaced with Advan RG's (likely next summer). The side skirts are actually Kamanari...one of our friends through the shop works for impact parts in upstate NY and they deal all in body kits. They had these skirts in their inventory since the 80's (last set hehe) and he basically gave them to me. They fit well and look good as they simply extend the line of the stock bodywork - if you look closely at the profile pic you'll notice they run up to the moulding on both sides. They are similar to S5 TII skirts in their shape but they are much more aggressive. Since the Mazdaspeed lip basically takes the factory line of the S5 nose and extends it I thought these would look nice together. I did cut the grille out of the nose though when the lip went on, looks great!!

the OEM japanese FTP lenses are a little different than ours in the U.S. First of all they have a standard wedge bulb in the back with wiring that I simply spiced into the factory wiring to come on with the Dims. I bought them as new in mazda boxes through one of our parts guys in Japan (these guys find everything). You can buy them at www.corksport.com I believe and they aren't very expensive (175 brand new, I paid less) The second difference is that the pattern on the actual lense is very different from U.S. spec cars. I've always wondered why Mazda bothered putting different FTP lenses into production...would anyone in the U.S. have complained about lights in there???
