ZoomZoom,

How do you like it so far. I've pretty much made up my mind to buy it but am only 98% sure. Marvel Speed can custom fab a Turbonetics T-64 or T-66 system for me. Any input is appreciated.

Also, how much is it at A-Spec? Jason wants $4000.00 for the kit.

A-spec is the source here in the US. If anyone can give a good price it would be them. I am very happy with my turbo selection. There are turbos that make more power but this turbo is the very best for street use. It makes alot of power and it starts to make it down low in the rpm range. The thing about this turbo vs the twins. Once it starts to build boost its just a second away from full boost. It comes on like a slap from a catholic nun. The power comes on so fast and the boost so quick its impossible to modulate the throttle to keep tires from breakin lose. If your drivng around on the street with street tires I recommend a low boost setting like 8-10 psi. Once the boost comes on your goin to get it all at once. Its amazing. No one looking for a street driven turbo will be dissapointed with the GT3540. If its big power your looking for I still recommend a dual ball bearing type. GT42 for huge power and track use. I hear its even streetable to a degree i.e. like a T78/88. Only with a dual ball bearing design which makes boost even faster.

I went with the Greddy 2 row. Money wasnt really an issue for this project. I was very concerned with building boost that was goin to be usable for a street application. The 2 row is "Efficiant" up to 15 psi. And Dave at KD rotary said the 2 row has 2-3 psi less pressure drop than the 3 row. Like I said I was concerned about building boost down low so i went with the GT3540 and wanted a good intercooler that would have the best cooling capacity without the loss of pressure down low so i went with the 2 row. Also I wanted to retain my Air conditioning. Its a street car so I still use it. Its a much tighter fit with the 3 row and may need to relocate more of the A/C components. I didnt want the hassle. Also a few guys with the same turbo and intercooler run more than 15 psi on the 2 row with no ill effects. I dont run more than 15-16 psi anyway so the 2 row is more than adaquate for my application. There are parts for every application. You just need to sit down and figure out what will meet your needs.

Zoom,
Thanks for the info...as you can see from above, I'm sold on the turbo. Now I'm just waiting to see what USAA says about my car (whether they pay me for the shipper taking a joyride).

I am considering the Gt3540 or the KKK Stage II. I want to know the lag factor for the KKK..I have heard Nocab made 470 rwhp on pump gas @ 17 psi. I don't know if that is true though.

I got a pineapple street port w/srx-7 stage2 turbo. I'm running a conservative map with 15 psi @ about 4250 - 4500 rpm.
