My new JDM part - pics!

posted this on the other forum...and thought I'd put it here if anyone wants to take the part # to the dealer to see if Mazda USA offers them...

The woman got them for me from a Mazda dealer in Toyko:

part number

these crazy things...

intalled...

ahhh, cool reflections...

so yeah, I guess after looking at yahoo classifieds japan over the past year and noticing about 90% of the FC's had them, something inside me wanted them too, lol. I don't smoke...and it doesn't rain too much, go figure

enjoy the pics

Yo,

Coolness! You and your Jay Dee Emm Stylie! *grin*

If you start putting little air freshner things like I see on Yahoo Japan...you've gone too far.

Looks good!

I think those are there so the window glass isn't sucked out during very high speeds.

At least...that's my theory.

these fit right up against those...

the piece itself fits snug inside the cushioning that holds the window in-line when its in its up position. those small metal tabs along the plexi push outward to grasp the lining...

honestly i never asked her how much they were...i think around $40...

Those are really popular in Japn. Lots of the ex-Japan cars over here have them. If they're not too big (and those ones aren't) they look OK, and they're really good for keeping cool in rainy, humid weather.

Wow, your paint is freakin beautiful. Is it a repaint or just a really clean original?

Hey...I had those on my T2 8 years ago. I bought those from the dealership...when they had them. They broke after a few years.

Has anyone got them since Erik? I don't want to call them up and oder them then have to send em back cause they stick out too far. Could you get some close ups and some down the side of the car pics so we can see how far they stick out?
peace,
Charles
