My new tail lights (clear of course).

Tell me if you like these better than the last pair (that had no lenses, just the bare fixture with lights).

Either post here or on my guest book at:

What did you do to the new ones? Put a regular flourescent light fixture behind it to diffuse the look?

Based on what I see, I like the old ones better. All the old ones need is a clear reflector square instead of the red one, and you're done.

The pic of the new is right below the pic of the old, right?

They're both very nice.. I think the new ones are nicer.

Those new license plates are way cool, man.. and they definitely help everyone recognize your car when they see it.. j/k!

I think it looks 100% better. It completes the look of the car. ALthough the previous ones were flashier (only when you looked at them from an angle tho!! the bulbs would get in the way in other places), these complete the clear style all the way around.

I think that if i replaced those reflectors i would get pulled over, not sure tho.

To make the clear lenses for the rear, i did some stuff. I'll post about it later, i dnt have access to the camera i took the pics on. but the gist of it:

cut out ceiling light plastic covers (of your choice of design).

Put the side piece cut outs over a burner (make sure the direction of the clear plastic pieces matches the middle parts), mold it to match the stock one (i did this by pushing it onto the stock one, so it took its exact shape).

Paint the fixture chrome.

Put the new lenses in, and adjust the size as necessary to make them fit propperly.

Re-attach the ****.

Drive it.

However, somehow i managed to blow a fuse i think,

my reverse lights dont work, and none of my gauges or turn signals work now. So fuckit. *nods*

I normally hate clear tails because of the typical jumbled-colors look, but your new ones actually aren't bad at all. It's frosted good enough to block the cheap chrome look, and it goes nice with the color of your car. So as long as they light up the right colors, then you get a big thumbs up here.

Good job man, I'm probably gonna attempt to change my tail lights to the supra style. 4 circle lights. 1 Orange, 2 reds, and 1 clear. I just need the time, in the process of 3 projects already.

Iotus, got some info for going turbo. Some custom work, but you can use your engine/intake for this. so far the (main) parts list goes as follows:

-'86 air flow meter
-HKS additional injector controller
-4 injectors (total of six)
-t04 turbo
-tri point eng manifold
-waste gate
-intercooler

I'll pm you the specifics as soon as I have some time

I like the new ones. I think it goes really well with the colour of your car. I do agree with DF though that the red reflector needs to go.
