I've searched and searched, but I still haven't found any decent close up pics of Spirit Rs. The only ones I've found are the ones on their website. (see pic.)

That pic really shows how the plate holder butchers the look of the car.

 

i couldnt agree more. that thing is absolutely horrible. and its molded into the bumper so you cant just take it off without some bodywork.

Anyone notice the next post in that thread that Nixem311 said bout RHD cars not being legal in the US? How is that possible, when u can order a RHD car here in the US from the dealer, I've seen them being used by those delivering mail.

 

lol dude, if im not mistaken thats only because its easier for the mail ppl to deliver if they are next to the mailbox instead of having to back into the driveway. and its not that the rhd models arent just accepted here its because they are seen as DIFFERENT cars all together and they need to be up to US standards in saftey and emmisions. andyone else want to correct me if i said anything wrong...

I don't like the looks of that as much as the 3rd gen. I was hopeing it would not look so much like the RX-8...but then again...that is just a drawing.

 

The speedo goes up to 180 because of some sort of manufacturers agreement among all the japanese companies, like the 286hp agreement...

Thats what i was thinking, because that would top it out at what... something like 115? Doesnt the US guage KM go to like 280??
