FD cupholders
I need 10 people to go in with me and get a cupholder....we can get a good deal. $41 bucks if using paypal, 39 with money order-shipped. here is the pic (at bottom of page). Let me know if anyone is interested.

It is a custom job....wouldn't you want to make a profit on it too if you had to make it yourself? The reg price is 10 bucks more. It's not that much. I've spent a lot more on smaller parts and we all know what a nice thing to have this would be.

I agree that while $41 seems high for a cup-holder, that product is 10x the quality of the e-bay POS. FWIW, those collapsible cupholders sell at Griot's for $25. without shipping.

Good grief people.....people spend over 100 bucks for a damn ashtray that has padding too. Either you want one or ya don't. I was trying to see if anyone was interested.

I've had one for about a year - the thing is awesome. Yeah the price seems steep but you get what you pay for - those ebay cupholders were crap, Marc's is worth the dough.
It's really amuses me sometimes the things that really get the bandwagon rolling on this forum - automatics, V-8's, cupholders...

Really, we are driving sports cars, and everyone knows that REAL sports cars don't have cupholders.
BTW, I think $41 is a pretty good deal. I can buy one from BMW that fits my motorcycle for ONLY $120.00!

thos cup holders on that website is actually a cupholer from garretsgarage dot com? somewhere like that i have the reciept at home. all you have to do is buy the cupholder and i believe its about 20 bucks aftershipping. after you get the piece just go to orchard or home depot and buy 1 foot of aluminum strip. its about 2 inches wide i think. well after you have that all you have to do is bend the aluminum and either bolt or glue down. i glued down mine with some weather stripping. save yourself 20 bucks and get creative

The only time I desire a cupholder is when I get some cofee before school. I don't drink it in the car, but I need someplace to put it. The cupholder looks good, but I wouldn't spend that much right now. I will probably end up making one before too long. Once I remove the power steering I know there is no way I'm gonna hold a cup of cofee and try to steer out of a parking lot.

Neither of my cars has a cup holder and I kind of like it that way. I never eat or drink in my FD, and its race when I do in my Z. Cupholders (especially that one) make interiors look cheap IMO.

Anyone who needs a cupholder in a FD is:
1) Ready for a retirement home
2) Ready for a mini-van instead
3) probably one of those people who clog up the passing lanes.
To each their own, but get real. Put that money towards a holder for your power fc instead and concentrate on driving a performance vehicle in a performance manner. Sorry, but that tops any cheesy or ricey thing you could do.

What's up with the attitudes against a cupholder?
Some of us use their FDs as daily drivers. Sometimes I like to go grab some fricking Wendy's for lunch and don't care for sticking my drink in my crotch. I don't drive like I'm on the track just to go get a value meal for christ's sake!
When I go out for pleasure driving, of course I'm not going to have a damn drink in the car. You people need to relax! And for all those drink naysayers, how many of you carry a goddamned cell phone in the car?????

no man thats different, getting a after market kit, makes you feel your car stands up amongst others, when i put side front and back bodykit for my '02 eclipse i got more responses from public. it just made me feel better about the car. and the car looks much better. FDs with nice kits look alot better than stock ones.
