The 2007 Dulles Town Center Meet Thread

Starting a new thread for this since the old one is from last year... Weather looks warm but a little iffy (30% chance of showers) tonight. I might head out if it's not raining. Anyone else?

It starts around 5 or 6:00 and runs till everyone leaves. I try to show up around 7 or so. It's behind the Chick Fil-A in the Lowes parking lot at Dulles Town Center.

Anyone hitting it tonight? Aside from the turn signal stalk I broke at VIR, I've got a running and shiny car to pimp this week.

I'll be on the road to NC this evening so I can't make it. Not that anyone wants to see my mess of a car anyhow

Not to threadjack but on a related note my heat pump at home has given up the ghost. It's delightfully balmy indoors these days. Can anyone local recommend a trustworthy vendor to do a big job (new heat pump and central furnace unit) that won't mark up the hardware 2x and charge $200/hr for labor?

Heh, thanks I have at least a month of downtime so I'm going to start sanding/filling/painting soon. A whole new adventure awaits!

just had my HVAC unit worked on in my condo and had two different companies come out. the first took 30 sec and my explanation of the "symptoms" and said i just needed my AC charged with more refridgerant. however, because of other reasons they couldn't do it. well, i called another technician and he came in and said initially that more refridgerant sounded right, but it could also be x, y, or z. he spend half an hour diagnosing and found out it was a fuse to the fire damper that let go....anyway, this guy was great and took care of me. if you're interested i can forward you his contact info.
