My new 99 spec FD :)

Well i was going to keep my old car and spend the money making it faster and get it looking like i wanted it, but it was getting old and i would of spent a fortune to get it running like the car i just bought. This baby caught my eye and it was 1 of the 25 99 spec cars imported into the UK apparently, low mileage, immaculate interior, im over the moon with it, the differences are amazing in the way it drives, no creaks, better plastics, air bags, amazing brakes, completely stock, safe to say im very happy

Anyway here are some pics:

This is the only interior pic i have for now, not the best

It cost £13,000 which works out at around $25k?? Judging by the price of the ones i have seen go in the UK before (around £16-£17k) i got a good deal

So far all i have on order is a PowerFC, not really sure what i want to do it yet, my last car was unpractical and to be honest im enjoying the quiet relaxed drive for now. But no doubt that wont last long

i wouldnt modify it if i were you. its already got everything it needs to be amazingly fun, and if you keep it stock and it's really that rare, it will be worth a lot of money down the road.

NICE!

I was at Wirral for 10 weeks in the NHS during my medical training. Good times and NICE car!

I just noticed something. Are your fog lights separately wired. In the US, our foglights only come on when the headlights are on.

In the Wirral, thats not far from me

When you've pressed the fog light switch they'll only come on if you have either your dim lights or high beams on, so not sure how that differs from you?? Your saying you have to have the headlights popped up and on for the fogs to work??

yup...our lights have to be on for the fogs to be on, they don't turn on with just the running/parking lights....

I had a fun time in the UK when I was there. Now the food is another story
When I was there, I made trips to the Lake district and all over! But for some strange reason, everyone liked to make fun of my "american accent" and always wanted me to say "peanut butter" for some reason.

Regardless, Congrats on the car!

on the engine pics, anyone notice how the windshield wiper motor and what looks like the ABS is mounted where our cruise control should be. Also the mastercylinder is opposite (which makes sense).

COOL!
ps you might want to swap out the AST unless they improved on it for the 99's
