I'm sure most won't believe this. I didn't at first. Ask Pluto for confirmation; he can tell the story much better than I

I believe it, if it's a 600bhp FD. No way from 0-80mph though. Nephew's Busa does 1/4 mile in 9.4s and 140mph++.

I saw a (hot leatherclad) chick run a 10 flat on one... She didn't seem to launch as hard as I thought it could have though...

(I was in love)

Okay, Here's the story.

It was last saturday night when I was on my way back from a group get together. Rich was behind me and Mr.Shoefly (stephen) was riding with me. I was curising around 80 or so and notice two motorcycle in front of me. I was curious to know what they were so I speed up a little to catch up. It turns out it was a Hayabusa and a very loud GSXR-1100. Both bikes sounded mean and I was telling stephen that they'll probably kick my butt if we race. I then pass them and proceed my way until I notice they both took off and try to do a flyby on me, so I down shifted to 3rd and took off with them just to show them I can hang with them. After that, I slowed down and they flew right by me. a couple of mins later, they slowed down and was waiting for me looking back and reving their motor. Since there was a hill in front of us, I didn't want to race until after the hill because I couldn't tell if there's cops waiting for us. I slowed down to about 70-75mph getting side by side with them. As we started to clear the hill, I downshifted to 3rd gear to let them know I'm ready. We took off at the same time and I gained .5 cars on the hayabusa. we raced side by side until I shut off at 165mph. He stayed .5 cars behind me. The GSXR 1100 was at least 6-7 cars behind me. After the race, I followed them to a gas station and they asked me wtf was do I have in there. I laugh and told them it's the same displacment as the hayabusa but I have a turbo in it. I later found out that the hayabusa has an air filter and an exhaust system in it so it was slightly modded. The guy told me that he races against modified vipers w/ n20 and C5s w/ n20 and none of them could even hang with him soon as he shifted to 4th gear but he was very suprised that I was right there the entire time. I told him what my car runs at that current state and that I still have the n2o system (another 80rwhp) which I didn't use when I raced him. He just looked at me and shake his head. Also, on a side note. He started out in 3rd gear and had to downshift to 2nd just to keep up with me starting from a 75mph. That explains why I was .5 cars ahead of him.

BTW, I was on race gas running about 24psi of boost but I didn't have my bottle with me.

So basically that's the story on that race.

I believe it. I have an FD with undisclosed mods, and I can kick my friends *** on his 9R. Obvioulsy not from a stop, but down the highway at about 70-140. Busa's are pretty damn fast though, what mods does he have anyway.

The rx-7 would not need as good a power to weight ratio as the 'busa because of the aerodynamics involved.

My Nephew's Busa dynoed at 182RWHP when he was turning in the 9.4s and 140++mph. His has performance air filter, ecu chip, muffler and tires. In a 1/4 mile race Ari could not beat him.
Unless, of course, he screws up, which is very seldom.

Oh yea, his friend has a turbo, NOS Busa with over 300RWHP. That's only 8.9s and 150+mph.

My car last dynoed at 570rwhp and 500rwtq thursday night w/ n2o and I ran a 10.61@135mph on radial street tires this weekend at houston raceway park. (you can see my time posted on www.nhraimport.com under houstoon race and look under the results

w/o n2o, my car dynoed around 485rwhp and 405rwtq.

So basically, I ran the hayabusa with 485rwhp give or take 10rwhp.

Rotary engine, if tuned properly can easily handle 30-35psi of boost w/o extra reinforcement.

they're just more delicate to tune...

Pluto??? Do you have a green RX-7?

Do you ever get on www.R-culture.com (the new DFW Scene) or www.dallasracing.com . Your car sound badass, and keep up the good work. Watch out for Dallas Cops though, but you could out run the Ghetto Bird so you son't really have to worry about anything besides spike strips, radios, and maybe the bike cops.

Talking Yeah Right

OK first of all a 'busa will do a top gear roll on from 60-80mp in 2.4 sec....2.4 sec....in top gear. I really doubt that he had to "downshift". But the time YOU downshifted he would have already been around 90-100mph. Just admit that you got your but kicked and walk away. Thats all......oh and the 'busa has got a hell a lot better aerodynamics than a FD, it's something called frontal area and CD. Hey don't get me wrong though I love all RX-7's , but if you would've said " I beat an SR71 form a roll" I'd believe ya. haha

BELIEVE IT BUDDY. Steve's car is a bad *** mother ******. I guess you have never driven a low 10 second car before. Hey even if a busa can do a 9 sec 1/4 doesnt mean he car do that on the street. Thats alright. You are new and foolish.

I hate to say it.... but you my friend are retarded! J/K . Anyways, you are wrong, a bike ITSELF has alot better frontal drag coefficient, but there is something called a DRIVER who has no way of keeping his entire body in line with the flow of the bike. Things like loose pants or the top of a helmet, sticking out at 100-160 miles an hour can take a 2.6 drag CD and reduce it to 6-7 drag CD! Which is why everyone knows.... If you want to race a bike.... it better be at speeds! Ever seen the Walser supra vs. Hayabusa video? That was from a 70 mph, roll... notice the car didn't start pulling til mid 4th gear? Did you see the way the rider was tucked (well tucked)?? The supra was running 30 psi, and a 70 shot, so he was putting down some mad rwhp. If steve was running his CURRENT setup (580 rwhp), he would have taken the bike out, the same way the walser supra did...... hope you get it
