'79 Mazda RX-7 Limited Edition

I took the 1979 Mazda RX-7 Limited Edition out of the garage this weekend for a few shots, and thought that some here would get a kick out of it.

And the odometer after the shoot

Yes, that is just over 21k original miles.

-Todd...

PS - You can find the Photoshop technique that I used on the first shot HERE.

PSs - If you are curious what the second shot looked like out of the camera:CLICK HERE.

Very Nice and clean ... would you care to post up some more engine bay shots? Also what is the VIN#, we have a thread going around somewhere about who's got the oldest car ... so far we have car production #80 I believe. Also are you the original owner?

Just a recommendation, you may want to take your pictures and edit out your liscence plate numbers. That is NOT something you want on the internet because it's possible to find alot of information about you with just that number.

Nice looking car though. I've always loved the lines of the 1st gens.

I'll try to get a few engine bay shots this week and I'll post them up. From my understanding, this is a mid-79 (two mirrors, driver-side hood pole, etc.)... hardly the oldest car. Technically, my mother/father are the original (and current) owners... I just say it's mine because they could never sell it without going through me first (I'd buy it now, but don't have a place to store it).

I'll try to get a few of these as well... anything specific you are looking to see?

Thanks... not like you couldn't find out a ton about me anyhow with a quick google

I may be able to put a few up as wallpapers (or put them together into a montage or something).

The louvers on the rear are one of the only non-dealer parts. Basically other than the battery, plugs, tires, air cleaner, one coil, and the freon from the AC... everything is original (and I have the air cleaner and coil put away). Also, fully documented... original window sticker, bill of sale, registrations (all of them), etc. The first 3000k miles or so are logged (mostly going to races at Laguna Seca).

WOW !! ... finally some shots of what the seat fabric and BB paint is supposed to look like.

Thanks . Thats got to be the cleanest LE left . When I am ready to get my LE painted back to origonal black, I may need you to get a local PPG or Sikkens colour match code done off your paint.

post that baby in the SA registry thread

Canon EOS-1D MkII... only 8.2MP, but MP isn't everything...

Much like engine size related to car's performance... as a rotary fanatic, you'd know all about that
