FD Custom Fit Box for FD
FD Custom Fit Box for FD
Anyone planning to build a sub enclosure for 2 10's or 2 12's for a FD? Could you build me one too, please...
If you have any plans or drawings, feel free to send them to me at LongRX7@yahoo.com. Would like something custom fit and still have some trunk space and able to access spare tire if necessary. Thanks.

i started on my one 12 enclosed in the middle! and 2 bazooka's on the sides! can't wait till it's done! oh but yeah you should build it yourself! go to a near buy stereo shop and ask them for tip on how to do it! it's really easy, but if they're bitches they wont tell you and make you pay them money to do it for you! and know that labor for a custom system and not a premade is 2000-3000 backs
a single 12 inch seems to be louder then a dual setup in a FD since space is limited (you have to build the box to your sub's specs). Unless you want the look of the dual, I would go with a single 12.

I'm not one to jump in and flame, but it's in poor taste when you insult an audio shop or it's people because you didn't get what you wanted for free.
Even if they TELL you how to craft all the custom work involved, installation and crafting is almost to the point of being art now, case in point, the Fishman. He's paid $$$,$$$ by audio companies for a reason. He could write up a step by step instruction manual for you, and I have my doubts whether or not you could interpret them to what his finished vision would be. 2000-3000 dollars sounds pretty reasonable for someone taking a vision of what you want your car to sound like and look like, having no knowledge of the difficulty involved, and bring that to reality, especially considering that it is something you will probably use everyday for many years to come.

Super nice though, but a little more fancy than what I was looking to do.

Well, Generally that's how we in the car audio business try to stay that way, if making a decent living by not giving away trade secrets makes one a bitch, then the world is covered in bitches.
