My Rx8 5 Speed light gearknob
Now you all know, it will fit an FD, and it WILL light up 
i got it from UK Mazda. Cant believe you guys have to pay $250, i got it for £80 which is what, $140? And you lot normally get things a fraction of the price. Odd
anyhow it took an hour or two to fit it as i was being careful with my early xmas stocking pressie, and i love it now! feels fantastic! very heavy as well!
You get a load of wiring, sticky foam bits, and a gaitor with is:

I'll find out about shipping costs this week and get back to you.
The Rx8 in the US is Auto and 6 speed manual, in the UK it is only 5 speed lower powered and 6 speed higher powered.
When i went to the Mazda dealers parts department all i said was "i want a black rx8 5 speed gear ****" and that was is, didnt mention anything about "one that lights up" so i assume that all stock rx8 gear ***** do, or maybe just the Japanese ones?? (somebody on here ordered an rx8 gear **** and it didnt have any wires or anything, it didnt light up, so im unsure which ones do and which ones dont....)

I wonder if some mazda dealer in the UK is allowed or willing to ship these, cause the fact that it's 5spd and lights up makes it a heck of a lot more attractive than the overpriced US-Non Lighted 6spd version...

I agree, i cant see why they wouldnt, it would be a good idea for some of the US based rx7 companies like jt-imports, rx7store or rotaryextreme to import some of these in bulk, and would cost you lot half the price

prew: i didnt have the stock **** to begin with but by looking at it it looks roughly the same size. I will get more pics so you can judge.
93BlackFD: im not sure if this is even an option in the UK, but i have a brochure somewhere, i will look for you.
sub9lulu: sorry i wouldnt have a clue, try any old fd **** on an fc and that will tell you as the thread for the fd and rx8 is the same
RX-viper: i didnt have the unlighted rx8 gear **** in the first place, this was fitted to the FD.
I'll try get more pics today when i take it out for a spin

more pics as requested, i think it fits in nicely IMO, not too high or too low, doesnt stand out too much, feels really really nice to drive with, weighted so i notice a big difference between this and my old metal ****.
Sorry about quality of pics, the camera's a bit...****. My gaitor is knackered (it doesnt sit as high as it used to thats why theres a gap, not that the gear **** is high up!) and im going to put the black leather rx8 one on over the weekend, my plastic bits im going to spray so ignore the state of them as well please!
