I'm doing nitrous oxide installation in 12A..help

Does anybody have a Master plan regarding a Nitrous Oxide installation on a 85 12A?

I plan to build a streetported or bridge engine later on, but on the mean time I want to have a nitrous oxide setup for my old engine. Currently my car is running ok, actually pretty ok, doing great...but much rather have a quick fix against some slow turbo cars. Idea is not to go turbo yet. And yes this is for drag...

My goal is 210hp around that mark. Currently my car has the limited hp on 150hp or so according to the mods I got.

Can anybody let me know what would be the fuel requirements, fuel pump, fuel line diagrams, nozzle placement, regulator, switches, reliability mods, etc. Best reliable kit to install, best brands to purchase wether NOS, ZEX, nitrous works, etc. I know that installation is the primary concern for reliability issues. The engine is old but compression is good and I have no problem experimenting. If it blows it blows...but I know that won't happen. Knock on wood ...Never had one engine blow up yet. i got plenty of spares.

If anybody has a similar setup, or knows how to go about it let me know.

I'm not asking for information on the best way to make the power or if its reliable or not...please spare me those comments. Like I said there is an engine in the works. This is just for fun...but it will be reliable.

Thanks.

n20

I would recommend a wet shot. A dry 50 shot might work but it is more risky. As long as you have the right amount of fuel being added with the n20 you should be fine. I would test it on a wide band to make sure your are not running lean.

I think NOS sells a wet kit for the rx7 that would have everything you need.

carb remember

remember this is for a 12A carburated car. I'm still using the stock carb (although modded)

Is the NOS kit for 12As if so can you tell me where to get it?

if not then more or less what individual parts should I consider buying? fuel and nitrous jet sizes etc....basic setup to then start building from there.

thanks

thanks...
found a kit in summitracing.com

it's the NOS 05030 sportmans fogger direct port. 75hp minimum wet system less than $550.00 not bad. It's for carburated cars. Low pressure fuel pump required and enough flow.

Anyother suggestions on how to install it...does anybody have a link or info on a step by step breakdown with tips and past experiences with a similar system?

TIA

I had a 2 fogger set up on a street ported 12A engine. I used a 75hp shot. Ran 12.44 @110mph on my everyday car. Know I am looking for record breaking times with N20. currently ran 9.13 @142mph on a full drag Rx3. N20 is alot of fun. If your really interested in going with N20, give me a PM..
