$1500 to spend need advise
Well I got $1500 to spend on the car. is not much but I don't know for sure where to put in. I got the following things but not installed.
Pettit downpipe, block off plates and intake. Got a Greddy Evo CB and Defi boost gauge installed.
I was thinking of going with:
Koyo rad-359
AST-149
Greddy FMIC 899

i'm of the opinion that after the basic mods its time to do the computer. not sure how much the pfc's go for nowdays though. the radiator is an excellent idea with our wonderful cooling problems. especially if you go frontmount with the ic. some wait til they get the ic though.
depending on what your preference is, you could just do the ast bypass, its alot cheaper and i dont hear of too many people having problems doing the bypass.

$1500 invested aggressively in a nice mutual fund will return you 100-171% (i forget the name of the fund).
Think about that. 12 months w/ that 1500 and you can roll out w/ 3500.

yeah I think I'm going with the Power FC and a Greddy Proffec so I can install this downpipe and intake I got laying around.

If you have the stock twins you don't need the boost controller; the PFC does a good job of controlling the seq system (imo). A friend of mine recently switched to the proffec and said it stayed at the max val more consistently, but was not significantly better.

This is only my honest opinion but f*ck the expensive electronic boost controller. Use the PFC to control boost(it should) and if for some reason it doesn't buy a simple bleeder valve at the home depot for $5.00. But that's just me, seems like a waste of money to buy the both of them.
Whatever money you have left after the PFC, spend it on a radiator, ast, or most importantly good boost/water temp gauges if you don't have them. Also a short shifter is another good mod.
