Thumbs up Knightsports new 4 beam HID kit

http://www.knightsports.co.jp/whatsnew-index.html

Was just browsing to see if anyhting was new. I looks like their old kit but with HID's. I can't make out the price but I think it may need some cutting. Does anyone import Knightsports anymore?

It looks like the sleepy-eye kit with HID lights. They mention upgrading existing 4 beam kits.

Try this babelfish version of the page and click on the links for the lights:

Yes it is a sleepy eye kit.
100,000 japanese yen is worth about $883.
88,000 japanese yen is worth about $734.

Currency values vary so it may go up or down based on how well the US dollar is doing.

I think www.rotaryextreme.com imports Knightsports stuff.
I think the HID is in addition to the regular Knightsport lights.

It looks like those are just upgraded HID bulbs but in some regular driving light cases... would the beam pattern be correct? The pic doesn't show the usual sharp HID cutoff.

Also, if it IS a proper HID headlight, it looks like i'd be real easy to graft it on to the C-West kit... they seem like MUCH shorter housings than the Hella lights.

GoRacer, I just noticed that you are in OC. Let us know if you get hassled by cops. The lights look great, but I'm worried about the attention they might get from the authorites ("while I have you here, why don't we take a look at....")

why would it be sleeper? sleepy eye would be a half shut eye. wouldn't sleeper be closed?

anyway, it does look all the way up. didn't know if the translation gave any insight into this.

Looks like they are adjusting how far it goes up on the installation photos. The Babel Fish makes it sound like the dude from Silence of the Lambs, lol!

IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE BASKET!

Changing to the cutting section, it welds stopper
It also mentions short circuiting the stopper (the electric motor maybe?) so I'd bet they aren't all the way up.

they don't look all the way up to me. even if they were, they would be a great improvement over the stock suckass lighting

I haven't purchased them. I only just noticed them last night. It looks like they use the same kit as their older 4-beam one but modified the low beam (only) to HID.
RotaryKnight used to have the old kit. I'm not sure who bought it from him. Didn't those pop up to full hight? I don't see why any cops would hassle you for them. They don't know if it's a legal version. There are alot of cars now that come with factory HID's.

I don't like how the bulb is blue. Most HID bulbs are clear...

that is definitely shorter than the stock housing!! And if i may add, i think you can get those bulbs other than blue, it will have different brightness tho...

Nevertheless, the first pix is has a better ligthing thatn the stock light.
