Talking HID lights!!! I know im not the first so... I got questions!

I finally recieved my HID (7000k- purplish color)light kit in the mail today and just wanted to ask you guys if you had any suggestions to where to mount the ballast and any other wiring issues. This assuming i am not the first one to do this. I just wanted to hear the problems people faced so i can avoid them.

I have HID on my MR2 Supercharged which uses the same housing that the FD does. What kind of headlamps do you have? I have Hella Euros and it spreads the light okay, not great, but okay. I don't blind traffic however.

7000K is purplish if i'm correct so you will emit a purple light. Mine are 5200K which is super white and kindna blue. Pics of my HIDs on Hella H4 are here.

Good luck.

I would put the ballast under the headlight itself, there's tons of rooms on MR2 or FD down there. The wires should be pretty long and make things more flexible. WHen plugging the lights in, plug into the LOW BEAM.

Watch out for the retracting headlights. It can and will crush connectors and wires. Ihad problems. Routing the wires without the headlights getting stuck in the open or closed position. There is very little room for where to route the wires. I had them coming out of the headlight towards the middle of the engine bay.
