I just received my Apexi Power FC boost controller kit today and the directions are in japanese. Does anyone have directions in English??? Can anyone speak Japanese?

installing it is very easy. First disconnect the negative side of the battery. Take off the stock map sensor. Put on the new map sensor. Your package should come with a small wire. You hood that wire up to the Power FC main unit. There is a white slot right next to the commander slot. Plug that wire in there and plug the other side to the stock map sensor that you just took off. Take off the black boost reservoir right behind the alternator so you can see the solenoids. There are two solenoids there which are attached to each other. disconnect the wiring on the right one (facing the car). The right one has a white dot on the connector. Hook that wire connector up to your new boost solenoid. If you want to hook it up to a single turbo, look at apex-i website under document. Find the instructions for the AVC-R. The boost solenoid you got is the same one as the AVC-R so use the AVC-R instruction to hook the hoses to your wastegate. After you install all those, connect your battery. Turn on the Ignition but do not start your car yet. Go to the commander to change the boost settings. the boost menu comes with two boost levels. If you are using the boost control kit, you are only using the primary boost setting. So set your boost setting there. Go to the ETC menu and go to functions. Disable sequetial turbo function. Go to Map sensor menu and choose option 1 instead of normal. That's it. Good luck. Where did you get yours? I confirmed with XS Engineering that it's discontinued.

interested, but...
Hi Jon, I am very interested but I already have EVC4 to control boost so I do not need the solenoid valve. If you can find somone to buy the solenoid valve for single turbo use, I can just buy the boost sensor off you. The boost solenoid is good for people who do not want to run more than 1.2 bar and going single turbo. Anyone wants to buy Jon's boost solenoid so I can get the MAP sensor?

Jason told me that it's discontinued because there was a recall on it. My friend got his boost control kit and power fc directly from Japan and he has no problem with the boost control kit. Maybe there is not enough demand for it so they stop bring it here. Who knows.

Is there anyway to get the pfc to read a gm 3 bar map sensor that the haltech uses? I just got my pfc today and haven't tried it yet, but I would like to try 18psi this year, and have an avc-r to control boost.

I purchased the Apexi boost control add-on kit for the PFC today from. SRX7.com. He said they had 4 in stock. So it was obviously never discontinued.
As for the rumor of some people not getting them to work right, I spoke to my buddy at XS Engineering and he said that is because most places THINK they know how to tune them but they don't. So, from what he is saying, it is NOT the product, it's the user. IMO, I bet alot of people were not switching it from dual turbo to single turbo or better yet, not following what ROTARYEXTREME has outlined.
I'll post after I have XS tune my car and let you all know how I like it and if it works good.

More details on your setup is needed. Also, do you have a Datalogit?

My set up is simple, just 99 twins, intake, downpipe, resonated mid pipe and cat back. I'm basically just looking to control any potential boost spike.

My head is spinning a bit trying to understand all the graphs and new solenoid talk.
Just to be absolutely sure, like stated above, the PFC will use the factory solenoids to control pressure up to 17psi correct?
I plan to run 14psi at the very most, I'm assuming the PFC can control boost spikes/creep by either limiting/cutting boost pressure and/or providing more fuel in the event either happens?

Bump, just wanted to see if anyone can confirm PFC will safely control boost under 17psi, i.e. I don't need to purchase the boost control kit or any other aftermarket boost controller.
