Blitz fmic/Apexi intake pics
Ok, I promised a couple of you that I would post some pics of the Blitz fmic in a previous thread so here they are. I apologize for the shotty lighting, I had to take them with my flash. Feel free to ask any questions, I can take other shots if something isn't shown that you would like to see.. if I have to get under the car and take off the underbelly pan you will have to wait a few days.

THis stupid thing. I enhanced the pics but it wouldn't let me upload them. How can they be too big if you posted them, ack
Anyhow looks tight. That's cool you were able to fit the fog/driving lights back on.

Nope, there is tons of space left over on the driver side of the car. You definitely couldn't get away with the stock size battery, that one is just too big. The instructions have you trim off a good part of one side of the battery tray to remount it onto the car without interferring with the new location of the radiator. I had an Odyssey battery already, but you could even use a larger one like a Miata battery. Blitz even gives you new brackets to hold down the battery.

Real world now.. well cruising water temps have not increased noticeably so far. But the hottest it got over the weekend was about 80F where I was, highway driving temps and stop and go temps were about the same. We'll see what happens when summer hits.

I was also short a couple of tools I needed, my major drawback was trimming off the stock radiator mounts on the sway bar brackets. These have to be cut off in order to use the new mounts in the kit, but all I had was a hack saw. That was not even close to working for me, I ended up driving to a buddy's place and using his air compressed cutting wheel.. took like 2 minutes. If it had not been for that I could have probably finished it in one day, I was not in a hurry though. It is really not that hard to install, especially since you don't need to remove the front bumper/skin.. as long as you are comfortable taking everything out in front of the motor and moving it around the task is definitely doable by one person.Matt

No need to hack up the bumper or reinforcements. Lot easier to install than the Greddy...

Who's gonna volunteer to help me install it?
