Exhaust Comparison Questions

I'm looking into getting a cat-back exhaust system and am pondering the choices. I want something high-flow, loud and powerful. I have considered the Apexi GT exhaust (3.75 piping), Kakimoto N1, Greddy GT and Blitz Nur-Spec. My questions are as follows:

1. Are all of these exhausts stainless?

2. What are the piping diameters on each?

3. Is the Blitz system straight-through?

If anyone knows the specs of each of these systems or any problems/quality control issues they have, please share them. Any advice is welcomed, although you don't need to tell me how loud they are, I already know.

Thanks in advance.

Just so you have all the facts, the GT spec isn't a constant 3.75", it tapers up to a max of 3.75.

N1 duals are not stainless. The Blitz is stainless all the way, and as far as "straight through" it's cat back....so everything after the cat is open (if that is what u are asking).

I believe he meant a "straight through" muffler, as opposed to a chambered type.

loud doesn't mean faster

just something to think about...

The GT is about a medium size can, the Blitz and Kakimoto a small size, and the duals are very slim. Greddy PE being the largest i've seen. If you go over speed bumps and steep driveways alot, you may want to consider the size of the can.

Cool N1 Duals

-Has a deep rumble to it, not high piercing that it sounds like a honda
-It's stock and clean looking
-And I just love hearing my turbos whistle through those dual tips

I'm looking for something that sounds mean with a deep rumble but not too loud (the quieter the better) but doesn't compromise power too much....

I do not mean to imply that loud means fast. I want my exhaust loud, becuase that's how I like it. What is the piping diameter on the Blitz. Their exhaust sounds good as far as what people say. Is it straight-through?

Dr. Wankel - Where can I find this? What diameter? What can I expect to pay?

Thanks again.

The Blitz exhaust is straight through, and the muffler is smaller than the GT spec which is nice. The exhaust is made extremely well, it fits PERFECT under the car and tucks up nicely under the bumper.. does not hang low at all. The piping is a tad over 3" ID (I measured it before I put it on my car).. so that translates to about 3.25" roughly I think.. plenty of flow capacity unless you are planning on putting a TO4R on or the like. I payed just a shade over $300 for mine, worth every penny.

Sounds like the Racing Beat dual-tip or M2 dual tip would be perfect for you.

www.rx7.com has the Trust PE II(GReddy Jspec). It has 3.71" diameter all the way through.

Cool

if you wanna go quiet, then put BOTH YOUR CATS back on and you can use any muffler made... for me, I WANT MY 7 TO BE SEEN, FELT, AND DEFINITELY HEARD.

Cool WHY BE SHY!?

Your V8'S aren't... not that I want to be louder than them, but having a nice rumbling eshaust is a part of the intimidation game... I LOVE MY EXHAUST. Not only does is sound good, but it delivers what it says.

How about the Kakimoto exhausts. Anyone heard or know anything of them?
