The S4 AFM has a fuel cut switch built into it. You will need to cross those 2 wires together to allow the fuel pump to run. Those wires are Black and Brown and both are at one end of the S4 connector. I forget in my testing but I do believe once those wires are crossed and the IGN ON, the fuel pump is running. So I don't believe there is a way to have the fuel pump shut off besides turning the IGN OFF

S5 Connector Wires connected to S4 Harness Wires

Green / Orange to Green / Orange - AFM IAT sensor
Two Brown / Black to One Black - 2 Grounds, One for IAT and one for Vari Resistor. The S4 AFM has the one ground split in the AFM. The S5 has two seporate grounds.
Brown / White to Brown / White - 4.8v+ to Vari Resistor & AFM IAT
Green to Green / Blue - Vari Resistor Output (Cone Position)

I have never done this before so I don't know the outcome.

I have had this pic in my archives for a while now. I believe I found it on this forum. Not taking credit, just sharing the wealth.

I meant the S4 AFM has the 2 grounds combined in the AFM. Not Split.

In that picture, they jump the fuel pump cut off switch terminals which won't do anything. You have to cross the wires.

And you'll need an S-AFC to correct the reading so the S4 ECU doesn't run stupid rich.
