99 spec oem rear spoiler

Anyone know if an installation sheet exists out there anywhere showing an OEM 99 spec being mounted? Or if Ray Crowe might have access to the mounting hardware. I just bought one and noticed a slot for one mounting fastener, I believe it is on the driver side. Also the two outer bolt bosses are for 6mm bolts and it looks like the inner fasterners were studs ? Anyone who has actually mounted a new oem 99spec rear spoiler - pm me.

I can mount it, just curious about the factory method they used.

thanks,

Unfortunately the website is down right now.

Basically, what you can do is get a piece of clear plastic, lay it on the underside of the spoiler and mark the location of the studs. It's not that accurate, but it should work if you take your time and measure everything.

I won't have a problem making a template, I just need to know what fasteners did Mazda use for this slot and 3 other threaded bosses. Look at my photos. the outer boses are no problem, they take 6mm bolts and some gaskets. How about the inner 4 mounting areas ? Love to see a OEM mounting instruction sheet. Anyone got one ? Take a pic and post it if you do.

Hey Tom,

I don't have the actual installation instructions, but I can definitely tell you that while the mounting hardware is not available from anyone in the US, I can readily obtain it for ya from Mazda Japan. In fact, I just bought a set of the mounting hardware for Heath (RotorMotor). I'm sure he can post pics of the parts if you'd like...

Thanks!

Tom, we'll have Heath post up a list of what's included in the kit, that way you can see what you need and what you don't and we can go from there. Sound good?

DaiOni is the MAN !! Great work. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I see now what I suspected all along - two of the inner fasteners are the pop-in plastic type like a door panel has. Now it adds up.

Dai - I'd sent you a pm, see if you can help me a little more.

Again, great work. Good info for anyone mounting a OEM rear spoiler

Tom, yes I def. have time to order them for you. I didn't reply to your email b/c I replied to your post here. No sense in replying multiple times. I was waiting for Heath to post up the parts list I provided him with, as it appears you don't need all the parts; just a few. He hasn't posted yet. But DaiOni was kind enough to post up the parts diagram you were looking for.

In any case, I emailed you.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Phil,

You mean you wanna jump in on this order and get a few? If so, how many?

Or do you mean you wanna wait and see if we can get a GB going?
