I am betting he is not an LLC.. I noticed that you guys claim that he is "only one guy trying to get all rare parts" yet everything posted redarding the "FD NEWBIE" buisness says "we"...

Yup, he had a partner. But he walked out. So when you say "we" please, refer to "I" from now on. That is if you really are by yourself. But I have to agree with personal life, it doesn't matter what happens. People are only trying to buy parts.

It's not a good idea to sell things, you don't have in your possession. But that's just my .02 cents. I mean customers never wrong right?

i wouldnt mind helping with management of parts and stuff... i haven't heard to many people offer to help..

i doubt i would be considered since im so new to the forum and my technical knowledge is very limited, especially for rotaries.

i am an IT professional and would be able to find out ways of assisting with time management, at least to possibly automate some of these major concerns.

many of these problems in terms of responses seems like there would have been an easy way of remediation.

There are several parts that i look forward to ordering from FDnewbie and based on the popular review Ramy seems to be a respectable person, just not the most timely with his business. This, i can understand, would cause extreme frustration to the buyer.

Ramy, if you want me to help in some way, let me know. (maybe some discount? haha.. no serious... haha.) Email automation, IT design and infrastructure, time and people management. yeah i can do that.

anyways. not to seriously thread jack.. but how much would spirit-R brakes run me and is it simply changing brake lines/rotors/calipers?

thanks! - oh yeah, sorry for the misspelling, IT or Comp Sci... we don't care about grammar or spelling.

Totally uncalled for.

Whether you get a ban or not for racial slurs, I'm not positive.

But I can tell you this---I'm certainly never going to offer you tech help to any of your future questions.

That's what happens when you don't log on for a month and have people wondering whats going on

Ramy needs to get his butt in gear. Good luck to all of you.

Negative, there is NO excuse for that. Personally, I'd rather be out 120 bucks than a bigot.

I know he is a busy man, i mean i had to wait a month to get an email from him(he explained to me why it took so long) saying my cluster is done and he will message me (music in my ears) about the payment for it on monday. i didnt mind as long as i got updates on it. He is in med school i believe, i was just thinking that he should take care of every thing he has to do with the GBs and everything else and not accept anymore sells until he is up to date, and has time for it, and could take a little break to concentrate on school for now. not saying anything bad about him, i know hes a good guy but i think he really needs a break

Probably should have had people send full payment as he sourced each seat. If a deposit or down payment was needed to secure the find with his over-seas supplier, maybe Ramy should have fronted that cost, I mean, isn't that what business loans are for?

So, that just makes him liable directly rather than being able to hide behind only the assets of a company.

Hey guys,

So I'm sorry for the frustration some of you are dealing w/. And beleive me, I would never intentionally leave a customer hanging. I do my best to please each and every customer I have, the old ones as well as the new. Unfortunately, every now and then things come up that make what is essentially a 1-man-show (on the US-side, at least) too much to handle all alone. As such, I'm working on ensuring I have some help pretty much immediately, so ALL unresolved issues can quickly, fairly, and efficiently be resolved.

For the record, I am a legally registered LLC, primarily for taxation purposes - not for "protection" purposes. I've NEVER ripped off a SINGLE customer - not a SINGLE time, and as such, I don't expect a customer to try and rip me off either. So that's not my primary focus.

As for the whole "go call the cops" and "shipping within 30 days," if that's the approach you guys are interested in taking in return for the service I'm trying to provide, I probably will be more than happy to simply hang my hat up. Because that's rediculous. I have orders that I look for for MONTHS. They're special orders, and after MONTHS of searching, I find the super rare part that the customer's DREAMED about having for YEARS. And then I ship it to him promptly.

Or in another case, I order parts from lesser known vendors in Japan, who pretty much make their stuff "to order." So by the time the money exchanges hands from the customer to me, then from me to the vendor in Japan, you're looking at almost 2 weeks already. Then a lead time of several weeks (usually 2-4 weeks) just to MAKE the part, then for us to repackage it to be fit for international shipping...you can see how 30 days is COMPLETELY unrealistic. I simply don't understand how it's rational to expect such time frames when shipping Ground WITHIN THE US takes 5 - 10 days coast to coast! And we're dealing w/ an entirely different international level, not just shipping logistics, but foreign currency transactions, etc etc.

Anyway, point being, all that is just background. I'm gonna continue to do my best to stay on top of things, and I'll make sure I get some help immediately so that even when things get tough, you guys don't get left w/o answers for a while.

Having said that, I can tell ya that 98% of all orders have been taken care of, and there are just a few things left over, which I'll be addressing absolutely ASAP.

EjCabrera, I'll look into your PM and try to get to the bottom of it. My only complaint is, NO amount of customer service would be enough to stop you from being a bigot. Unfortunately some things aren't amenable to change...

~Ramy

PS: Thanks for all the guys who stood up for me It's nice to know loyalty still exists...

From everything I've read on this thread, I don't think it's the time frame for shipping, it's lack of notification on updates and delays. I'm sure if you can keep people pacified, most would probably wait indefinitely for their parts...

Good point. Again, I don't like excuses, but the project I was working on was to finish the website so it would automatically update you of the progress as the process moves along (ie order accepted, order placed, awaiting parts arrival, parts received, parts being packed, parts shipped w/ tracking #, etc), but what you guys don't know is, I've paid for the website to be done THREE different times, w/ three different ppl; 2 freelancers and one company. Still haven't come out w/ a fully functional & complete website to date. And trust me, the website is the crux of this all, cuz it's too much volume to be handled manually.

Either way, I'm out a ton of cash, but still tryin to find a way to complete the website like YESTERDAY.

It's been said by many, but to all who are bashing Ramy, **** happens. This is the nature of his business and it would be a shame to see FDnewbie close the doors over whining customers who have to get what they want now. This is a great service for the RX-7 community, don't ruin it. Ramy hooked me up with all my spirit r stuff and I've spent months upon months waiting. I guess the people who understand and have patience with Ramy are the ones who are truely passionate about their cars.

Mike, don't worry about it; this thread is in my subforum; I can get rid of it myself if/when I think it's necessary. Right now, I'd rather leave it so I can hear customers' concerns. Thanks though!
