I've got the rear diffuser installed on the car presently. As soon as I get the front diffuser I'll be posting some pics up on how they look installed.
The rear was a bit of a chore since you have to trim the rear valance piece. I don't see any problems with the front diffuser. Just a basic swap of the front tray for the diffuser.

Ramy,

I'll take a stab at it. It's too bad I don't read Japanese.
From what I can gather from the instructions, it appears the part # for the rear diffuser is QFD1 50 224

The instructions also break the parts down to similar part #'s, but from what I can see the whole set is labled the above part #.

So I can only assume the front diffuser would be QFD1 50 223.
You might have to play with that last digit if that's not the case.

So what's the ETA on the arrival. I'm really itching to get that front diffuser installed!

Lates,

Exclamation Action Required

Here's the situation guys...

Several parts are out of stock and Mazdaspeed has no intention of making them:

Power Plant Frames
R-Spec Front Diffuser
R-Spec Rear Diffuser
Rear Sway Bars
Rear sway bar bushing set
Set of R-Spec Brake Lines - another set is listed as in production
Twin Plate Clutch

For those of you who wanted the items above we will be offering substitute brands if you're interested in pursuing a group discount on those still (for PPFs, sway bars, possibly others). You will also have the option of a refund.

Those of you that ordered both front and rear sway bars, we need to know if you still want the front sway bar. You have 48 hours to let us know. Please post on the thread.

I'm very grateful I jumped at the opportunity back in Oct. regarding the diffusers. I knew Ramy wasn't kidding but I was reassured when I saw all the options disappear from the Mazdaspeed site.

I'm sorry the rest of the guys here couldn't obtain these rare pieces.

So when's the next shipment coming??? The weather is starting to warm up a bit. Hopefully the car will be able to come out of hibernation sooner this year.

Damn MS ... that's too bad. Still good attempt and thank you Ramy, Jason, and the crew.

There's no mention of the front swaybar bushings not available so i assume i can still get the front with bushings right??
I still want the front sway bars (plus front bushings), and take refund for the difference please. Thanks

Okay, we'll keep the order for the front sway bar + bushings and refund the difference.

Jason, I believe the two part #s you saw for the brake lines were for front & rear; front's available, rear isn't (or at least that's how I read it).

Re: the PPFs, guys I can still get 'em from RE Amemiya, Sanai Works, Stillway, or Makers Racing, if you'd like to opt for that option.

Thanks,
~Ramy

PS: Neo, we need to talk...

So you mean to tell me after paying for the part I wanted since Oct. you couldn't find this part???

I guess my friend wasn't kidding when he said he couldn't find the front diffuser.
Because that's what its come down too, right?
I ordered in Oct. and now entering Feb. you're going to tell me you can't get it?

Well I was kinda "assured" that "it would come" but when we spoke to Mazdaspeed a few days ago for this GB, I was like uh what do you mean there are no front diffusers??? What about the one that's supposedly "on the way?" One thing led to the next, and it became quite apparent that the order was never filled ... So I only found out like 3 or 4 days ago...

I see.
Well, what are you going to do? These are things out of your control.
Unfortunately I never had enough cash to get the diffusers when they were making them.
There's no other "distributors" that might have this part lying around?
This was a big part I was looking forward to for the start of the new season.

Kinda sucks it got dragged on for so long, but you gotta roll with the punches I guess.

Here's a request. If you can find a good Mazdaspeed shifter and e-brake handle set, reimburse me for the amount of the diffuser, then I might be able to forgive you.

Neo, I'm really REALLY sorry man. What made it worse was you were posting all over about how you're so excited to get this diffuser :-/ Rest assured tho that if I do ever find one, your name's already written ALL over it

As for looking elsewhere, I made sure ALL STOCK over not one but TWO CONTINENTS was canvassed. Then I realized it definitely was a no-go

Re: the shifter & e-brake set, you referring to the CF one? And if so...
- You realize they'll be used (but in great shape) right?
- You want the regular combo as pictured (both look like long thin cylinders) or do you want the OEM-looking shifter (the top is larger and contoured to fit your hand)?

Thanks a ton for your understanding,
~Ramy

Well, I was really excited. I know these parts are hard to come by when they were being made. So having a part that hardly anyone else has sets me apart just a tiny bit more.
I was feeling really disappointed last night. Which is why I stayed up later than I should. I was busy talking to my friends in Japan and any other company that is over there to see if they can still get me this part. I'm going to be waiting to hear from them throughout the day.
All along I was under the impression the diffuser was in your possession and you were just waiting to get another bulky item so you can ship them without ruining them. I didn't know you were still waiting for the part from Mazdaspeed.

Don't sweat it. Hopefully I'll be able to find it somewhere.

As for the shifter and e-brake, its the same ones I posted a picture of in the Bathurst R. They're the carbon fibre ones that look like long tubes. I posted it in the spirit R shift **** and ebrake thread here in your section.
I realize they're going to be used. They've been discontinued for awhile.

Just in case I've also asked my friends along with all the other companies in Japan regarding these items.

I'm starting to cover my butt concerning these parts.

Of course I'll be needing the refund quickly if I do find the part later today.

Thanks again for trying.
