30 bucks for the international shipping on 2 lenses seems pretty steep to me. ill pay it, but ive had things roughly this size/weight shipped AIRMAIL from asia in a week for 1/2 the cost. even the domestic shipping (southern to northen CA) is greatly overpriced at $10 bucks. i dont know... 40 dollars just seems extremely expensive for shipping, especially considering it took nearly a year for them to get here. again, ill pay it, but i kind of feel like im getting ripped.
If possible for next time, i would really like to get all of the shipping charges out of the way and paid by all of us upfront... that way everything is settled and not open ended.

1) Shipping costs don't increase linearly as the weight increases. So it's not a direct correlation.
2) There are other shipping considerations to be taken into account, such as domestic shipping costs in Japan (from Wisesports), packaging fees, and occassionally, getting taken for a ride at Customs.
In short, any large volume of parts being moved is subject to a much more complex set of associated fees than shipping a single sole item by itself. Having said this, I still assure ya that on the whole, you're saving money, not losing money.
Thanks,
~Ramy
PS: Again, for the record, I *NEVER* make money off of shipping. EVER. But I do not hesitate to spend what's necessary to ensure that whatever I do ship arrives safetly in one piece. I hope all my customers understand and appreciate that, b/c no matter HOW much you save, if the item doesn't arrive in one piece, your savings are worthless...

Hey I don't mind sharing receipts if anyone feels they're being jibbed. I actually have done that before on more than one occassion, as people inquired as to why something "so light" cost so much to ship etc. When they see the shipping cost breakdown, the receipts, and open the box, then they go "Ohhhh ok" So no worries...no offense taken.

BlueRex , I got your PM. If you can't arrange time for me to pick it up from you. Then I need more reasonable shipping charge. $10 for 1 hour drive is BS. I have no problem to pay $20 for my share from Japan to here. I think that is more than enough. So don't tell me I need to pay another $20 to get it ship to me. I am hour away. I only order 1 set of lenses why my shipping charge is same as other. I have respect for everyone on this forum but don't **** me like I am idiot.

I almost had to laugh, not trying to be disrespectful to your plight Sherman2k, but the last sentence caught me as comical even though I don't think you meant it like that. I'll be sending my final payment this weekend. Caught me at a time where I was paying uncle Sam and a few other larger bills. Thanks for seeing this thing through guys.

Payment sent. Thanks guys!
Quick sidenote...not sure if others have had this issue, but I just happened to stumble back on this thread after several weeks because my subscription had somehow been turned off. I had no idea so figured that nothing was happening this whole time! If you haven't heard from some of the original users, you might want to PM them.

Ramy, No dispect intended! I simpley disagree with the domestic shipping cost.

If you need further clarifications just ask.
I think 2/17 will be a possible pick up date for the locals still interested.
Riccardo, I will try to get your shipping quote this Friday.
