You don't want some driver hooking a tow hook to some suspension part to pull you out of the way, hence the need for a rear hook. The front hook is more there to extend out not to damage the car as most track going cars have a lot of custom work.

For a street application, these don't really offer anything aside from "looking cool".
Hey,
Sorry to beat a dead horse but, you did mention that these would assist/allow to get the car on/off a flat bed. That's why I am interested in these since I just got a new front bumper and wanted something easier to attach to.

Yeah, if they're design for track towing, prob not for me.

Although it would be nice to not have to use the built-in tow hooks in an emergency... I worry about the chain damaging the bumper/lip.

I guess the fix for that is to not ever let the car break down

But I'm getting off topic...

Last question... aside from a custom peice... is there anything out there that IS what I was looking for... a relocation of the stock tow point to a smilar point as in this gb item?

A few things...

1) Be 100% clear plz; while the FEED tow hooks are indeed super heavy duty (the strongest I've ever come across actually), these tow hooks are indeed to be used for towing a vehicle a short distance (ie to a flatbed) ONLY. They are NOT to be used for towing the vehicle for extended distances. I assume *no* responsibility for any damages incurred by misuse of this product.

2) Also please note (esp. TMadlem84): NEVER EVER tow or pull the FD up onto a flatbed etc. using the "stock tow point." THE FD DOES *NOT* HAVE A STOCK TOW HOOK! The "hooks" you're referring to in the front are called TIE DOWN POINTS because they're just that: tie down points. They're *NOT* meant to support the weight of the car. You're likely to cause severe damage to your front end of you don't realize this. See your FD Owner's Manual for more info.

3) The FEED two hooks should work just fine w/ the majority of aftermarket front bumpers. The spot where it hooks onto the front is well chosen IMO.

Thanks,
~Ramy

These would still work well for you as it woudl aid in you being able to help get it onto the flatbed without damaging your front end/lip.

I've searched the thread and don't see anything about front mount intercoolers.

My FD has a 2 row Greddy FMIC.

Does the tow hook extend out far enough to clear that?

I haven't seen a picture of the hook on a stock bumper,
so I couldn't really tell if it would clear.

The Feed hooks will not work with Greddy FMIC.

I'm trying to be patient Ramy, just looking for an update. My car is going back together soon and would like to have everything lined up. Sorry to seem impatient but just looking to see what the expected time frame is on these. Thanks.

What does this mean, exactly? I'm assuming it won't fit right out the box, but can of course be made to fit? I don't mind cutting a hole in to the bumper to accomodate these tow hooks. Thanks in advance!

He said the IC not the bumper, so I am assuming by that, he means the IC gets in the way. I am sure no one will want to modify thier IC for some tow hooks. Maybe modify the tow hooks to work with the IC.

Just letting you guys that this is still a go. I'm trying to negotiate a better price w/ FEED, but thus far they're not giving me much wiggle room. Either way, I'll try and have a price posted up in the next few days...

Thanks,
~Ramy

These work with a 99 spec front bumper right? I see pics with a feed front end, and the feed front end seems to have a wider opening in the middle .

Any ideas as to if this will fit the stock front-end with driving lights (i.e. Touring model)?
