Welcome back!!!

The east is BACK!!!
How have you all been in the past what 2 weeks hahaha I guess it was not down for all that long.

Lets see in the past two to three weeks we have gone from blazing hot to somewhat cold. Other than that F1 happened and flopped thanks to the rain and other crap. D1 championships are happening this month at Fuji. Guess thats about it for those of us in Japan.

Am I missing anything?

As for me I have started taking some time for Aluminum TIG welding practice. Boy do I suck. If the weather proves to be ok tomorrow I will be pulling my tranny, clutch, turbo, and brake master cyl all for new/used replacements.

Word hope to hear from some of you all soon.

Tom

Yeah, actually I didn't know it was missing until a couple days before I recreated it.

Next time PM mod or admin so they can post it up to get taken care of.

Sorry for the wait. Thanks for your patience!

Suge....

Im trying to refrain from driving my car a bit. I want to keep the kms low.

I cleaned the engine bay and it looks alot better. There was alot of grime on the sides of the inside of the engine bay. I think its due to the humidity causing condensation and then dust sticks to it and it dries...its was pretty tough to get off.

Whats the best wax you guys use on your cars?

I also need some new HKS filters, my old ones look almost black. Does anyone know what size filter it is?

Meguirs is my favorite wax to use, it is available through snap on guys in japan and also I recently saw some stuff at an autobacs but it is also way overpriced here in Japan. Wakos has a decent wax out but I dont recall the exact name. i can check it out a bit later if you would like.

Not sure what size filters your car uses but I am sure if you just took off the hks **** and pulled the filter element out and walked into a super autobacs or any other decent parts shop they would help you find it or you could simply hold it up to the hks filters on the racks and match the size visually.

Thanks mate, but wait, you associated Autobacs with `decent` shops. Its incredible how much junk that have in those stores. They usually have 4 aisles of cup holders and steering wheel colours.

I really like upgarage for the secondhand equipment, not that ive actually bought anything, but its great for a browse.

I didnt realise autobacs had any filters, i might go check tonight, thanks.

It always cracks me up going into drivers stand and autobacs. They have aisles and aisles of air fresheners, LED's, floor mats, cup holders, light bulbs, neons, shift *****...etc.

They have 1 aisle with performance parts. Fortunately they have all of those nifty catalogs where you can order damn near any major perf part.

We have an upgarage here and a place called parts off that is fun to browse. Parts off sells engines and they have some pretty outrageous engines. They have 3 ferrari engines, some type of v6 nissan race engine with a high rise intake with a carbon fiber plenum. Of course they also have the rb26dett laying there too.

The Super Autobacs up in Hachinohe, Aomori has a few performance items. It's usually just for cosmetic purposes.
