I'm having flow issues over 20lbs on the Sard small. Sards section on Takakaira's website says turbo cars should use their larger RJ version. I can't navigate or read Sards website and Sard USA site is worthless and no tech support. All the stores claim the small is fine but some claim up 450hp and Rotaryextreme claimed up to 550hp. I converted the max pressure on the small to be 115lbs but I don't know the max flow. I thought Sard was but most popular in Japan but int he US most guys copy previous setups and use the Aeromotive. The Sard large is $250 ($100 more) so that sucks. So I am debating switching to large or Aeromotive. I have a tuning session next friday and I can't afford another engine. I allready lost one last year breaking it in. Dragon, JSpecRacer7, Judge Ito ...Beauler?

Here are my threads in the single turbo section...

A lot of the guys over here use the Aeromotive FPR. The SARD RJ isn't worth $250 since many US made FPR's that cost $150 will outperform it.

Ack, I would have thought the Aeromotive would be alot more expensive there since it's US made. So am I screwed with the smaller one instead of the larger RJ? Any idea if it will handle 540PS or not? I now have two new ones and checked my receipt from the only authorized US reseller that says "no returns". I can try to get Sard USA to exchange for the larger one and i'm shure i'll have to pay the difference or I can sell them both at a loss and choose one of the Aeromotive ones. They have two that look like the Sard and some other ones so i'm not shure why everyone uses the same one.

You have lots of choices in the US and most the FPR's are similar to the Aeromotive design.

Edelbrock
BBK
Holley
Magna
Mallory
Paxton (ovepriced)

I used one of the smaller SARD's on my Honda a while back and I had problems with it holding steady pressure at 11psi of boost. I changed to an Aeromotive because the SARD RJ isn't worth the money they want and the Aeromotive is setup for larger lines. I use the large Aeromotive 13101 and many people are using the smaller 13105 when they have space issues. If you want a 13101 I know a guy here on island who has an extra that is for sale.
