Cool Revolution and FEED JDM AST

I removed my oem ast and replaced the filler neck with the FC version to bypass it but I have to fill a few ounces every single dang day!

So i've been looking at different versions and the FEED looks overkill and yet nicely badass but its $500.

The revolution version, I don't understand how it mounts.

Are these common over there or you guys use cheaper versions similar to Pettit's. Does anyone have a pic of the Revolution version installed?

the links didnt work but from what you said and what i assume AST stands for (air seperator tank?) the guys over here call them saaji tanku haha just bad english for Surge Tank. Anyhow I have seen a lot of the mega tuned cars actually just using a oil can or a aluminum coke bottle etc hahaha seriously they do this and zip tie it somewhere then after racing or after some time they poor the collected oil back into the engine hahaha. The people actually using surge tanks seem to be using them more to dress up the engine bay but I have seen some people who are actually using them as a functional item but to be honest the simple aluminum can, approach doesnt seem to bad when you consider how often you are having to add oil to your car, this way you just slip the can out and poor it back in. I am sure there will be someone with a flame about this but I have seen it work and havent seen many problems with it aside from one guy that used a plastic bottle and it melted and the oil went all over, luckily it didnt spill on anything hot enough to ignite it.

Sorry I dont have much insight on those. I will see if I can find anything out though.

the feed one originally is expensive because the fittings over there are $$$$$$ otherwise it would be cheap.

The revolution one I like, and was going to get that style made myself, but never got around to it..

A buddy of mine had one like the revolution one that he made, pics are somewhere on the forum. I just used a SARD universal one and welded it up to fit back when I had my FD.

Yeah, I really like how the Feed tank taps in to the radiator as well to get all the air out but the price is crazy.

I still can't figure out how the Revolution one works though. Do you remove the water filler neck and replace it witht he AST?

Yes the filer neck comes off and is replaced with that unit. Its AST and filler in one. I heard it works pretty well too.

Thanks Jason,
Feed AST looks simplest and clean but I do not see the sensor bunge and i'm not shure if it will clear my air pump belt. Most likely it was intended for a Single Turbo setup without an air pump. Do you remember seeing one mounted "with" an air pump?

i would get the revolution one. you just need to run a line from the upper nipple to your overflow tank same as if you use the upper part front an FC and eliminate the AST altogether. that's what most of these "kits" are...

Thanks Jason - I ordered the Revolution AST. I am hoping it will clear my air pump . also from the only one picture I didn't see the water temp sensor hole. I guess that's not that big of a deal, just takes longer to get the done and installed.

I think the other lines are eliminated, the bottom rad outlet is capped off, don't quote me on this but I believe the revo tank works best with a vert mounted rad.

I emailed RHDJapan and here is confirmation on AutoStaff Filler+AST being the same as Revolution. Exact same pictures on RHDJapan are not a mistake.
Save yourself some money and go with AutoStaff.
