Hiya,
kinda a last minute trip to Okinawa, does anyone have any suggestions on things to do, see, I can get around via train/or do I need a car, and any cheap hostels that anyone might know? Thanks (^_^)

 

no trains. Yes you need a car. If your not attached to the military then you might want to pick up a international license before you come over.

Okinawa has the aquarium up north and i believe it has one of the biggest tanks in the world. There is also shuri castle, botanical gardens, too cold to do the beach thing right now, diving, fishing trips, hiji falls, and a lot more. it depends on what you like to do.

In my searching a found a cheaper airfaire to Thailand, so I think I'll head over there this time, save Okinawa for the late fall. I'm kinda interested in the Yaeyama islands, but they seem a bit out of the way + expensive to get to. Thanks though, I will go again, hopefully soon.
