Yeah thats me!!

I have the RHD in Jville I do know Jordan , It is an 82 RX7 but stateside it would be an 85 model, it wasnt that difficult I was active duty Marine Corps when i did it so the military paid to ship it to the conversion company I only paid conversion cost and registration fees approximately $1,200.00 out the door and completely legal.

Right Hand 7 - how many years ago was this? I know a guy (USMC) that just had his FD imported. Went through a lot of legwork and it's not legal yet. Had to basically strip it to the shell and get a shipping container for it.

I shipped my SA in 96 you can still send cars from japan but the problem is NHTSA they want your car to crash the same as a left hand side driver noone has paid to volunteer the 4-6 RHD third gens with the front end intact for crash testing, therefore its close to imposible to get an fd legal in the u.s other than a race car.

Well dude, living in Japan and orderind to rx7.net is kind of weird!!! There are plenty of places you can buy parts used and brand new here! Of course you need to speak a little japanese...

Well I don't know Okinawa and if there are any tuners like that over there. You may need to go or send your engine to Honshu or Kyushu for such a job.

If you speak japanese you will find many websotres that sell parts for your car at good prices but if you don't, you'll need help.

You can also try to contact big tuners like Amemiya, RS-Pantera or R-Margic. They may speak a little English I think and the offer rebuilt engines for both FD and FC RX-7...

Heepee,
A lot of guys in the Okinawa area have had pretty good success with dealing with tuners etc... for rotaries. I believe there is an ex military guy that has a shop out there as well and he builds amazing rotaries. I think he is mostly on the zeroyon site which is where most of the okinawa boys hang out.

In the mean time if you have any questions or parts needs feel free to post them up here on the 7 club or pm some people in the Far east section as there are quite a few people in the far east section that sell parts and deal with rotaries, myself included.

Look up Scott Head aka "HEAD" on zeroyon. He knows his stuff and can build a motor from hell. As far as FCs he's also built a "back-halfed" FC monster, he can pretty much tell you anything you want to know. Best of luck.
