Kanto 7-7-07 BBQ
Well due to lack of events I have decided to try and set up a BBQ in the Kanto area.
Due to the heat it seems that an early evening starting time would be nice since we could still catch some good lighting for pictures and also not suffer in the heat to much. It would also be nice since some people would still like to work on saturday and then come after that, plus after eating and mingling we could all caravan down to Daikoku futo.
Location: I am looking at a spot in Saitama close to Tohoku expressway. It is in a city called Kazo 加須 and the BBQ would be held at tone river 利根川。 Cars can drive down into the riverbank at this location and parking would not be a problem.
At first I was just thinking of about 20 cars or so but as I have started talking to some people the numbers look to be going up and up.
This is still only a idea at this point I still need to check out the location and talk with the city about making sure we could have access etc...
I am just checking around on here to see what kind of numbers I could or should expect from the RX-7 club.
I have some people who will be posting this up on mixi as well sometime soon.
Post here with if you would like to come and how many 7`s you would be coming with.
Thanks
Tom

There is a airplane runway that is used for gliders at this spot and there are paved roads to it and we could use these roads for parking most likely. I have been down there before but never in a large group.

Well seems that I have heard that most people in the kanto area will be going to daikoku and I found out today that they will most likely be meeting up there in the afternoon. So BBQ may be cancelled and or postponed. I am some others are looking to get to Daikoku as early as 3 or 4pm.

The full name is Daikoku Futo, or Daikoku Futo parking area to be more specific. It is Off the Wangan Expressway heading from Tokyo towards Yokohama. If you see or know of any car guys around your area then you should be able to ask them for more detailed directions.
