Idlers Games Motegi July 29th
On Sunday, July 29th the 2nd Idlers Games event of 2012 will be held at Twin Ring Motegi, The Honda Proving Grounds, road course (not oval). It's a 12 hour endurance race starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 8:00 PM. It's going to be a mixed grid just like last year. There is a Mini Cooper class, Porsche, some classics or just anything, basically mayhem with a lot of German cars included.

If you've never been to Twin Ring Motegi, it's very different from the other tracks in Japan and you will feel very comfortable there. I'm not sure about the entry fee. There are concessions and even a restaurant there so it's a bit easier than some other tracks. You can also visit the Honda Collection museum, go zip lining or take a hike through the forest while you're there. The place is like an amusement park more than a race track.
I'm definitely going, but I haven't arranged transportation yet. It is possible to take a train there and I might know a way to get some discount tickets. So let me know if you have any questions or need help getting there.

I think I was the only person walking there, and it was a bitch, but I made it. I tried for the south entrance but it was closed and the gate guard told me to take the back entrance. So in total I had to walk for 2 hours through the mountains just to get from the train station to the gate of Twin Ring Motegi. I left my house at 5 and got there at 10:50 I think! haha pretty crazy. I bet you guys are glad you didn't try and come with me. I did see one guy that looked like he was military. He was poking his head around the RWB tent and being kind of shy but didn't come up and say hi or anything. So if that was you, don't be shy next time. Everybody is friendly at RWB and they don't take it so seriously. It's an amateur race after all.
