Well, I had to memorize "keigo" sentences. I worked there 6 months after arriving in Japan so my japanese was really basic back then. But as I used pretty polite and complicated sentences, some customers asked me how many years I've been living in Japan! It was really fun. Hopefully, my Japaneses improved and now it's much better
Ok so if I come and visit you, I'll bring some Sakura ebi for sure!

Hello,
I have a RHD RX-7 (92 Efini) from Japan. On the passenger side footwell area close to the door, there is two hooks on the panel. What is that for?
I would love to come to Japan and meet the tuners: Craftcompany; Feed and Re-Amemiya. Has anyone met with these awesome tuners?

I visited the shop & met Amemiya-san back in '95 when I was just a punk kid. Even though he was busy getting the TAS show cars ready he took the time out to say hello and took pictures w/ me. I'll never forget that!
Fujita's in Kansai...never had a chance to make it down there. I'm a Kanto person for sure!

You started doing baito as soon as you got there?! You must be some language genius! Sure, memorizing lines can be done but what about when they start talking to you and asking questions? That's where I'd freak out.

Anyway I had no choice but finding a job to make a living. I also needed to pay for my Japanese school and it wasn't cheap but worth it anyway... Now I can say I'm fluent. Kanjis are still a difficult part though. Need more time for that...
I thought about you CanyonRunner. Last week I went to Yaizu with my wife my brother (visiting Japan) and a friend to the Summer Fireworks festival. It was really nice. I'm sure you've been there too!

Well I don't know. Now I can say I'm fluent but back three years ago it was another story. I was not having a good time when people stared to talk to me and it was just impossible for me to understand what they where saying. But in such a case, you just call another staff to take the relay.

So you went to Japan with the intention of attending Japanese language school? Yeah, working at a Japanese business helps you greatly to speed up the fluency process.
Okay, you'll be my tsuyaku next time I go to J-Land! I'm tired of having to bust out my crappy nihongo...everyone looks at me funny!

It'll be a pleasure!
When you come I'll give you a ride with my FD to Okabe Jidosha's headquarters, then we'll have some Sakura ebi!
At the end of the season, we'll join the team for the finals of the Super Taikyu on the Motegi circuit. Can't wait to see that.
And the other good point is that weather is cooling down and the FD is faster day after day. Nice power drift today (a little surprised though). This car is simply the best thing I've ever driven... I'll never change again!!!

Heck yeah, once you go FD you never go back! Around this time last year I was having so much fun navigating through the canyons...too bad my girl's been down.
Thanks for the invite Nick, I might just take you up on the offer.
Pray for cooler weather. I heard Japan is especially hot this summer!

Wow my FD is back from Okabe Jidosha. The installed the front pipe and catalyzer for me since I don't have any equipment to lift the car at my disposal...
They also made a special hand made aluminum air duct especially for my ARC intake box. The car gonna breath better now... Pics are coming.
Thanks for the comm Willie. White is the best color for this car in my opinion but in fact, the color doesn't matter, this car is just beautiful. Too bad Okayama and Shizuoka aren't closer, we could set up a little meeting.
CanyonRunner; anytime. And you're right, Japan's still pretty hot. But we're good, Autumn has finally come...

Here are my pics, sorry for being soooooo late guys:
It's made in order to take the air from the two intakes above the license plate:
Car runs just great but a little too much boost with the Apexi catalizer and the front pipe. I really need to go have this mapping done.

I finally put my hands on the GReddy meters I wanted and as I jsut received my tripple pod from rotary arts today I was able to complete the installation:
I expected a higher quality from rotary arts for this pod, especially for the space under the left corner. The package wasn't perfect and the pod was lightly damaged but it's not too bad anyway...
I had to widen the holes a bit but the gauges fit well eventually.
"by day":
"by night"
Green as the stock meters, the result is homogeneous to me. I'm happy!

This cluster is from a 4th generation FD (chuki). The dash board comes from a sith gen but the car is a 2nd generation FD... I even have Spirit R carpet.
These were all installed by the mechanic of Okabe Jidosha who prepared this car (engine overhaul, some new stuff inside, etc...)
