RE Amemiya's shop doesn't host it. I just know for a fact that they participated last year and figured if there was going to be a 7/7/07 event they would definately be there and not miss out. So im assuming since they would participate and emailed me saying there wont be one this year, its not gonna happen. But maybe just maybe, they arent attending for some reason. I hope thats the case and it still goes on. Circuit Theory, any luck with calling any shops??

How can there be nothing this year... Its once in a lifetime.

I mean I'm not doubting if the Rotary will be here in 100 years, but an RX-7? That I'm unsure of.

7/7/07!

Some shop is having a drift and grip event at Nikko Circuit in place of the missing RX-7 day. They will be going to Daikouku after as well. Thats as much as I have been able to find.

Nikko is about 2 hours north of Tokyo, which is just as far as Tsukuba is from Tokyo but I have no idea where the nearest train station would be for those going by train.

according to my maps nikko cct, 日光サーキット is about 10km NNW of utsunomiya station, on the tohoku line

cut'n'paste the nikko ctt kanji into the search box of mapfan and check the right circle, "spot name"

I just heard that the actual event is organized by RX-7 magazine and that it is going to be held at Central Circuit this year. I have never been to central circuit but I hear it is over in the OSaka neck of the woods. To far for me, guess i will have to wait and see where it will be next year.

None the less it seems people are still planning to head down to Daikouku parking on Saturday night.

Thanks for looking up that station info Eric !

here is a link to the Central circuit website

http://www.central-circuit.jp/index.html

I called them and it appear that they are having the RX-7 day/event but they will be holding it on the 8th??? But after asking that he said that it was on a Saturday??? Saturday is the 7th next month so I think they might have it written down as the 8th on their calender but it is happening on saturday the 7th??? Sorry no time to double check at the moment but I will try and do so later if nobody else beats me to it.

THERE IS DEFINATELY an event in KANSAI @ CENTRAL CIRCUIT 8th
It will be big. 767b and FEED, Auto Craft, Scoot and many more. cars galore.

THERE IS DEFINATELY and event in KYUSHU with Makers 8th

THERE IS DEFINATELY an event in HOKKAIDO with inteceptor

THERE IS Maybe an event in NIKKO I thought Sanai Works was organising this a while ago but haven't heard anything since.

THERE IS NOT an ORGANISED event in the TOKYO Region.

I AM GOING TO DAIKOKU FUTO AT 7pm on the 7th of the 7th.
I might go to CENTRAL that night if I get my stuff together. I MIGHT, I WANT TO.

Just very frustrating not knowing anything. I also heard that Amemiya wasn't doing anything

You should check my blog.

Exclamation 7/7/7

I will be going to 777 with some guys. 3 FC's including me
Daikouku parking is where we are going but I'm not sure if it is the actual 777 meeting. I'll have to double check. If you guys go there we should try to hook up. I'll be in my black fc along with a white (bronze TE37's Re-Am aero and a maroon (GnMtl Weds 70's with Re-Am aero) FC.

It is a shame to go all the way to Japan and miss these once in a lifetime events, by 2 or 3 days.

I'll be at Daikoku. I'll be a bit later, Maybe 11pm.
But I might go to Central Circuit next day early.

Probably be in the Newera Demo car, Black with Gold Mazdaspeed MS01.

My green RE-A / Feed Car is having Body fitted at the moment, Wont be ready.

We also have a Fast and Furious Veilside Fortune, But I am not sure if Miguel will be running it on the street. I'll have to check on that.

I am sure there will be people there. There always is.

Russ.

I will cruise down to Daikoku in the evening as well, I really hope they will not have cops stationed at the entrance picking and choosing who can go in!!!

Ewwww!!! I am getting excited even though I wont be going to the main event. I just fitted a couple small new parts and have some larger parts and big jobs to get done on the car before Saturday.

UUhhh OOOhhh

My Nihonjin friends are saying that the word on "Mixi" is that Daikoku is being shut down by the cops on the 7th!! They said that the meet might move to a different parking area called Umi-hotaru. They're trying to get confirmation right now.

daikoku will be shut down at night for sure the afternoons it is always open. I have heard that there may be an actual track event in Sendai but I have not been able to get any solid info on that. Umi Hotaru is fine as a back up to Daikoku though.

I was planning a trip to go chill at the lake, but if something is going to happen somewhat local, I'll change plans...

Neil, give me a call and let me know what y'all find out.

Might make the Daikoku or Carest events in Tokyo with TurboIIFC tonight, depends if we leave for Central Circuit after lunch, but still figuring that out with only a JR Pass.

If anyone is in Toyko & attending the Central Circuit event the next day by car or train, please advise on some good ways of getting out there for the Japan newb.

I can't believe they still routinely shut down Daikoku Futo at night. That really sucks for all the car clubs! I'm glad I was able to go when it was alive.

I've heard for the last few years the tuners have been doing Wangan runs via Tokyo Aqua Line then stopping at that PA in the middle. But the toll for the Aqua Line is a rip!

Those pics were from Miguel at Newera.

I was with him. Fantastic day. More 7's than you could poke a stick at.

I'll be uploading to my photobucket over the next few days

Very cool pics nonetheless but im glad I skipped out on Daikoku Futo and headed to Central Circuit outside of Osaka for 7/8/07. Nothing like seeing all those cars you guys took pics of actually racing at a real track. I have tons of pics and videos but im currently at a manga kisaten in Shibuya where I cant upload pics. They even had the Mazda 4 rotor 767B race car out doing lap runs at Central Circuit along with every other car shown in the pics plus alot more. At the end of the day, it was Fujita Engineering who took home 1st place at the circuit race at the end in thier beautiful silver FD. I spoke with Knight Sports and those guys are some of the most generous guys ever. Also went by RE Amemiyas shop today. Knight Sports invited me to their shop tomorrow so that I could get a ride in one of their tuned FDs. Plenty of pics and video to come soon!
