Fg vs Cf

Been thinking about making custom fenders etc, just curious if the price of fiberglass (easier to break) would out weigh the cost of carbon fiber (stonger)- i assume lol, I think i would be better of with fiberglass being cheaper to replace when needed, so if anyone can give me a run down on cf vs fg, it would be much aprreicated thx.

If hand laid the big difference is look. There is little strength / weight savings until you start vacuum bagging or vacuum infusing.
Another thing to think about is composites, FG, CF, Kevlar, Aramid, what ever you use will not dent it will crack / shatter and patch jobs are never as strong as the original peace. One patch and you lost your strength / weight savings.
