A question about injectors....

Ok....I think I might have a small problem with my secondaries. I have just recently had Mireck tune my car a little. At first I thought I had the 3,800 RPM hesitation, but after the tuning that basicly went away. Now, however, when I really get on it (full throttle) it seems to stutter a little right around where the secondaries kick in and also up into the higher RPM's. The stutter isn't consistant though. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't, which leads me to believe that it may be an injector problem. I haven't taken the secondaries out to look at them mainly because I don't know what I'm looking for. Does this sound like an injector problem to any of you? I'm going back to the US next week for a couple of weeks where RX7 parts are plentyful which leads me to my next question.....if I get bigger injectors in lew of upgrading my exhaust, turbo and fuel system, will I run into problems running them on a stock setup? In other words, will they be ok if I'm not using them to their full potential? Or should I just get some OEM injectors for now and wait till I actually upgrade everything to put in bigger injectors? I probably could have done a search on this, but I was kind of looking for Mireck to respond since he has a little knowledge of my car first hand. Any help would be appreciated!!!!

The light hesitation i felt at 3800 rpm is normal when the 2nd pair injectors kick in....
As for the high RPM studder.... i never felt it....every time i was in the car the engine got scared that i would tickle it again and did run fine

For the record,
TPS is fine, timing is good, fuelfilter has been replaced, sparkplug looked ok when we did the compressiontest.

What about air-filter? i can't remember if that was ok...
Did you put in 98 super asap? instead of the 95?

BTW the high RPM hesitation was noticed before he filled it up with 95, and no test has been done after that (because of detonation risk ---- > 95 RON )

Yea I put 100 octane in it after that (before I left Holland) and the air filter is fine. Everything we fixed is fine accept for this hesitation I'm talking about. I think it is one of those "gremlins" that we talked about popping up after the engine was tuned correctly. And just for the record I do not believe that this problem was caused by Mireck's tuning. He is a miracle worker as far as I'm concerned, I just think that the engine is reacting to the proper tuning and "other" problems are comming to the surface. And I agree with Mireck as to the engine being "scared" while he was in the car, lol! So you don't think it's and injector problem, like maybe it's just a clogged injector or something? It only happens during full throttle so that was what lead me to believe that it was the secondaries. And again, just for the record, I am in no way doubting Mirecks tuning. He knows the rotary inside and out like know one I have ever met. I didn't mean to imply that it was his tuning that was causing the problem in case there was any confusion about that.....Also just to clarify things this high RPM studder is new. The 3,800 RPM studder was happening before the tuning, but the high RPM's were fine. The studder it has around the 3,800 mark is also different than it was before. I can cruise around 3,800 and it doesn't studder it's just when I hit full throttle and the secondaries kick in. And other than this new studder it's running great. The idle is steady, the crazy backfire has stopped and everything seems to be running well. LOL, I also finally got around to testing the ABS and it is most definatly not working....it locked up tight and started to slide before I let off. Any ideas about how to fix that???

Try the obvious...

Clean the sensors, they might be dirty, same goes for the "tooth" the senors look at, the might be clogged with dirt.
Check the fuses also ofcourse...

No more insight on the studder problem? After I got off work tonight I took the long way home to check it out some more and it still happened, but not as bad as the other day. It's very inconsistent as to how often and how bad it happens. As far as the ABS problem, I finally got my other 2 rims in the mail today and I'm going to get them mounted on Sat. so I guess I'll take a look at it then.
