Welcome to the forum. We have (I think?) 4 or 5 members from Sweden with FD's. I think Martin (Gzon) might be going Single too, if it's not the same person your speaking of? We have a guy named Janus (in Denmark) who is working on a single. Look foward to the winter passing so I can see these cars and others.
Mangus Berglund stops in alot he has a a great website www.welcome.to/swedish-rotary
check it out.

<stands up in the rotoholics anonamous group meeting>

" hi, my names Mike and i have a problem .

I'm 22 years old and have owned my '84 12a RX7 since June 2002. I have been into rotaries since I saw under the bonnet of a 2nd gen at the dealership where my dad worked. Then I studied rotary engines for my thermodynamics project for my HNC in mech engineering. I got looking for a second car last year and narrowed it down to somthing japanese and old or a mk1 escort MK1's are too pricey for what they are so I started to look for a MK1 toyota celica and found the RX7 instead and was hooked

HA! Someone who's able to read a map. My wife always gives me a very hard time when she's "navigating"...
Mostly it ends up with m trying to look at the traffic, look at the signs, and look t the map. And getting lost :-)

Merry Christmas all RX-7 lovers! I am a Swedish guy who prepares and tune rotary engines mostly on my spare time. have owned 3 RX-3s and 2 RX-7gen1, my 2nd RX-7 have i owned since 1996 and it has been street drived for a couple of years with a streetported 13B with Garrett GT-40 turbo and Weber 55dco, distiburless ignition and a large intercoooler. Mainly i'm interested in dragracing where i have tested my car sometimes, best ET is 12.24 at 201 km/h with street tires. But the car is mostly stock except Eibach springs and Koni shocks so i also will do some clubracing at Kinnekulle Ring in 2003. I,m also a good friend to Magnus Berglund in Jonkoping and we may have some Meetings in Sweden where we hope to see some European RX-7 friends. I'm not gonna let you know my age but my first RX-3 was bought in 1981... That,s a little about me, I hope to hear a little from my Norwegian JC-Cosmo friends on this forum to, so keep your rotaries screamin!

So, when are you gonna retire?
Just kidding, just seems kinda funny how many young people are into the Rotary-scene, since it was a while ago when the Rotary cars where making fame...

Not here they aren't! There are at least 6 of them that belong to Americans here on the base (bought here, of course). I can't drive a day without seeing at least 3, no matter where I go.

***-ugly little cars, and not very good rust prevention, but you won't find a simpler vehicle to work on that's been made in the last 20 years.

OK, here's my story.

My real name is Daniel Rogers, but hardly anyone calls me that except my family and my past and current girlfriends. I'm 29, but only for another 40 days...

As Higgi knows, I'm in the US Navy, serving at the NATO base in Keflavik, Iceland. I've been here since last November, and will be until June 2003. My previous duty station, as Higgi also knows, was Charleston, South Carolina, which is where the pic in my avatar was taken. Yes, all those cars were mine at the time of the picture.

I've been a rotary fan since my first 86 base model I bought in 1996. I liked how it had the look of the 944 (having owned an 83, and later an 86 turbo), but was still just different enough. The engine, of course, made it unique among sports cars, which was really the reason I looked for one in the first place.

Having noticed, as I'm sure many of you have, that there aren't that many mechanics that will even touch the rotary, and being mechanically inclined anyway, I decided to learn as much as possible about them. I still don't know as much as some people, but I know enough. Having taken one completely apart (every last) nut and bolt, leaving only the frame) tends to give one a pretty good idea of what makes an FC tick.

FC's forever!!!

By choice, I should add. I prefer Ren, but, you know, your relatives never call you by nicknames...

Ren, BTW, came from the last ship I served on. I had a friend named Tim, who got nicknamed Stimpy. Since the two of us were always together, well, you know...

BTW, Bart, sounds like Belgium is getting more like the US every day (in regards to the "justice" system).
