It'll be getting shipped out to me in Germany in a few months and I'll be looking to get it right and retuned when it arrives. Yes I do have datalogit software and cable.

Hey what's up my fellow rotary heads, I found this thread by doing a google search. Recently blew my motor in my turbocharged RX8 and was looking for someone in Germany that could do a rebuild. I pm'd a few of you from this thread.

I'm a member of rx8club... here's a pic of my broken baby

I am in Spangdahlem and i need a Rebuilder for my 13b, it had 70k km on it and the guy took it apart and threw away the apex seals on the first rotor, he couldn't open the back (thank god.)

I am looking for a Heavy Streetport with 3mm Apex seals. I have a 94 R.E. Amemiya, a spare un-registered 92 "parts car" sitting too..

Higgi, You need a clean 92 FD body? i'm sure we could work something out since i hear you are " A Beast" when it comes to engine rebuilds.

Javier20B from the club here did my engine rebuild on my RX8. I towed my car to his house in Wiesbaden. He is really what I would call a rotor head and did an awesome rebuild on my car, he can pretty much work on a rotary with his eyes closed. Bad news is he's in the states right now doing some training (he's a helicopter pilot in the army), but he should be back in a month or so. So send him a PM and let him know I sent you his way. I'll shoot him an email too. Btw we were going to workout the same exact deal for my rebuild, I was going to buy a FD and he was going to swap the motor into my RX8 and I give him the FD shell ... But the car ended up selling before I could get to it.

pretty much i will be selling the clean spare shell for $2500, Or to trade for a quality 3mm or Ceramic rebuild. i have one more rex i am trying to get my hands on.

The Blood Red RX-7 from Ramstein was originally mine, and it's now back in my possession lol.
I don't know the condition of the motor until i have it running i will need to get a compression tester or have Javier20B check it out.

I have a lot of spare parts and some pretty expensive parts as well. i will be noting what i have spare once i have the R.E running solid.

Help!

Hey guys. New to the scene. Picked up a 1992 J-Spec FD that was in pieces. Just finished putting the engine back together but getting a bit in over my head. Is there anyone somewhat close to Kaiserslautern that could lend some some knowledge?
would love to get her running in the next 3 months.

Thanks!
Joe

Neither do I, but many Germans know enough English to write back to you. The German forum is a good starting place to ask questions and get some local information about engine builders.

I know Iwan in Munich rebuilds engines and also one shop in Austria that is good, not sure how close to Austria you are...

Just got to Germany. I'm currently eyeing a FC and I'm wondering if anyone is still out here possibly doing engine work before I decide to pull the trigger.

With rotary, always expect the worst (engine damaged beyond repairability)
