Question Electrical connectors (universal) in Europe

I'm slowly progressingwith my TII project, very slowly due to having two little daughters actually
Anyway, I'm probably able to fix the few problems left very soon. That'd mean the car could be test-driven somewhere before the end of the year. But since I can't work properly before the garage is finished (will probable take another half-century) it might aswell take another year to finish/test the car.
I'm not really in a hurry, as the car won't be on the road before 2007 anyway, but I'd like to do some work...
To simplify the wiring I want to re-wire the engine bay. The engine stuff on one side, the lighting etc on the other. Since my SA has a lot less wires then a common FC TII, this shouldn't be too hard to do. However, not many connectors seem to be available overhere. I'd like a quick-disconnect type for the engine, making engine swaps easier (not that I plan many more of those ). The only one I can find are motorsport types from Kempower. I'm sure they are very good quality, but at 158,- euro each (male+female) that'd be a 300,- euro connector! I tried to check some kitcar sites, but have had only limited succes. Any of you who know a good online source of these things? I'd also like a FIA battery cut switch, and some toggle switches although those could be bought overhere too, so not really very important.

Thanks for the offer, but that's not what I'm looking for. The current loom is perfectly ok from the functional point of view, but looks a bit messy. A stock harness is even worse, as it'd contain plenty of useless wires. I basicly just need a set of connectors, so I can properly install the Wolf wiring loom, aswell as the few wires from/to relais etc. The Wolf has 36 pins, which aren't all used. So a 20pin and a 10pin connector would be fine. That way I could run the few wires from the ignition side (on the left) through the firewall, and under the dash. That'd be way more tidy then running them from one side of the engine bay to the other. I also want to move the relais from the engine bay to the interior.
I can get plugs/connectors that look like OEM ones, but the ones I want would have one side fixed in/on the firewall, so the other side can be removed with the engine. Basicly like motorsport looms, or the ones used on removable cowlings (hoods,...)

You should be able to source this stuff easily from motorsport rally shops, like Kempower (www.kempower.be) or R-Power (www.rpower.be)

Bart, maybe a dumm example but before I got into Mazda i was in the Opel scene and they have a single connector for engine related elektronics (OEM).

Yopu could go to a car junkyard and cut it of without any thing else. you cann then set up your own connector as you like as you can pin out the internal connectors and replace them.

Just open the hood of any older Opel (example astra GSI) and look in the area between the engine and battery. it's a big black round connector. pull the yellow pin back, turn and disconnect. it has about 20 connections.

That sounds intresting, we'll see.
As for Kempower and R-Power: R-Power doesn't seem to have them on their site, and Kempower has a few very expensive ones (over 100€ per side male/female, so 200 together). They also have a few that sound more effordable, but without pics I don't really know if they are what I need. Since it's just a bit too far away to simply drive there and have a chat about connectors I'll have to find some other solution.
BTW, I test drove my fathers RX-7 (finally) a few days ago and all went well. Still a few minor things to fix, but it was good to drive a rotary engined car agian, after many months. So I got new energy to work on mine. And guess what: it took ten minutes to get the sensors working properly, most of which was used searching car keys and tools together! Seems the wires had gotten swapped somewhere in the process. Don't ask me how I have managed that, I'm deeply ashamed... Anyway, the senors are now doing their job, but due to the car being parked in between the RO80, FB, and FC, I just can't reach it wth jumper wires, so I'll need to reorganize my driveway to see if the engine will run...
Wish me luck!
