buying an FC in Switzerland

Hello,

I am looking to buy an FC in Switzerland, the land where everything is super expensive. How much would you say a 90-91 turbo II FC with about 60-70 000km (for some reason, the few on sale are all at this km) is worth? The car is in excellent excellent condition. Since they are rare here, probably tell me what is teh maximum I should be paying for one.

Many thanks

try the swiss rx-7 club for more info on values: http://www.rx-7club.ch/ I'm sure they'll be able to give you a more correct answer.
Other then that, try to inform you about importing a German one. They'll be way cheaper. Only drawback is that Switzerland isn't EU, so importing one might be tricky. Expect taxes and be aware that swiss rules might be different then EU ones. Again, the Swiss club should be able to help. As for Switzerland being expensive: you might be right, but that's the least of the problems. The biggest issue is modifications aren't easily allowed. So make sure the car you buy complies fully with the law!

Thanks for the input. I know the site you mentioned, but the problem is I don't speak a word of German. So I will post on there, but am not very optimistic about getting many answers. Importing into Switzerland becomes expensive very quickly. Not only are the taxes very high but you have to make the car legal which could cost a decent amount. As for modifying a car here, it really isn't easy, nomatter what the car. But thats ok, for the moment, just want the car.

So what should be the max price to pay for an excellent condition 65 000km, 1990 Turbo II?

I'm sorry, but I believe it'll be a bit more in Switzerland...
Autoscout asking prices range from 4000CFH to 14000CHF (high milage coupe for low price, low milage for high price...)

Autoscount asking prices are funny everywhere, even in germany u see overpriced FC's there but u see them all the time, they are not selling. Forget posted prices, look for prices of recently sold cars.

Ok, you're right, but still if I look at asking prices overhere and in Germany, I see a lot of difference, so I assume selling prices will be equally different. Point is, considering the rarity of the car (in Switzerland, and Belgium for that matter), prices tend to be on the higher side. Count to that the difficulty to import a car to Switzerland and you end up with overpriced FC's. I guess it's all a matter of simple market logic: if something is wanted more then it is available, it'll get expensive.
