wiring problem

wiring problem

I have been looking at this FD...

...but haven't had the priveledge of owning one WITH an ECU before...just wondering if any of his problems sound familiar, if it's worth the hassle, and what kind of $$$ I wouls be looking at to get it fixed...

A Haltech E6K is about $1,000, so that would be my fix, LOL. Well, I guess you could troubleshoot the system, but that would be a real pain, and it could be that the ECU is bad. If part of the wiring harness is bad, then it was probably a bad wiring install (common with aftermarket EMS wiring installed by non-electricians), in which case it needs to be completely redone IMO. Is it worth the hassle? Probably not, unless the engine compression is really good, and the rest of the car is nice.

BTW, I really like those SPA gauges.

nope, not ECU, he traded his out with a friends and his worked fine in his friends car, tried stock ecu, same symptoms...so not the ecu.........
