What would make my RX7 Sell better

Yeah I am going to be trying to cell my 93 RX 7 in about a month. But I was wonder would the car sell better with a Haltec E6K and no emission controls or with the stock wiring harness ECU and emission controls. Heres what I got done to the car. ACT cluth kit. Petit intercooler, Petit boost gauge and 3 inch down pipe. Any suggestions what I should do.

Thanks

I would "feel" out the buyer and see if they are a purist or plan on upgrading before ripping out the goodies. If someone inquires, tell them "these cars respond very well to modifications. Would you be planning on modding it?" If they say they prefer stock and they appear seriously interested, then you know what to do.

From: Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.
I've found that most people either prefer stock or won't have any interest/appreciation of the mods that you've done to your car. I'm also 100% positive that you're not going to get back nearly what you paid for the mods you've got for the car, ESPECIALLY if you leave them in the car.

I'd strongly recommend that you not only take the ECU back to stock, but you also take all the other mods out of the car. That way, you can sell the car as "stock", and you can make some money off of the aftermarket pieces too.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I personally would avoid a car that had mods. Of course, I plan on modding any car that I get, but then I'll know exactly what was done, and whether or not it was done correctly (or I'd find out soon enough). I think a lot of buyers tend to not trust the mods that anyone else has done, unless you can prove that some reputable shop put everything in for you.

Yes, most people would get a stock car and then mod it themselves, as that is part of the fun and joy to building your own car.

i wouldn't look at a car that had been modded by anyone else. Nothing personal, i just want to know what was done, so i can make sure it's done right.

Personally, I think the rap the rx7 mandates that your best bet is to sell it without the HP mods. If you have mods for reliability I would think that can improve resale and the respect the prospective buy has for you.

HOWEVER, I strongly frown on misleading a prospective buyer that the car has never been modded. Part of the "cost" of buying and modding it is the potential for the negative perception of the modifications. Best bet, if the car is not a heap, wait for the right buyer that will respect your mods and be prepared for any issues.

best of luck.
