What did they all study?
I was just curious what all the inventors of microtech, haltech, and power fc study in school? Was it software engineering or something else? Please tell me I'm truly interested, and I'm considering going into this field of study.

Electrical/Electronic Engineering, which you inevitably pick up some software engineering. There are also programs related directly to auto racing at some engineering schools. Or teach yourself. Buy a MeqaSquirt kit and a cheap car and learn at your own pace.
