I am currently rebuilding my 90 Conv. Removing the accessories I encountered a problem. When removing the exhaust manafold the threads on the alluminum housing stripped about half way. Only two of them. Top rear and lower front. What's very wierd is only the begining of the threads (closest to outside) striped. The other studs stayed in their place and only the nut came off. Am I in trouble and have to buy a new housing or can I tap and save?

 

What does this have to do with Engine Management???
