Standalone questions

I am just wondering if any of you have used or use the Sakura motosports standalone EMS. It seems alot of tuners in PR use this EMS and I am planning on purchasing a standalone system in the near future. I will appreciate all your opinions

Thanks,
JP

never had any experience with that EMS....nor have I ever heard of it

I would recommend a Haltech but then again if the local tunres aren't familiar with that, I'd go with whatever they can tune the best......

Well Haltech and Microtech are the other two that are widely used here on FC's. So nobody has had any experience with this EMS.

With an 87 Turbo II you should consider the Rtek 2.0. Check it out at: www.digitaltuning.com

Hopefully we will have our own subforum in the Engine Management section soon. We have the Rtek 2.0 (only made for 87 and 88 Turbo II's) and so far it seems like a steal for $399. It upgrades your existing ECU and gives you Palm PDA control over engine management.

I have the rtek 1.5 now and it works great but I am looking for something more complete. Can you eliminate the sensors with a standalone ? cus thats my goal if it can be done, this is a 19 year old car and stuff is bound to go bad especially electronics.
