Standalone injector sizing advice needed
what is the largest injector that can fit in a non-modded 2nd gen primary rail? I'm about to run the wolf 4.0 an will most likely pickup the $90/ 1600cc injectors for the secondary.
How hard will it be to tune if I use 550s in the primary and 1600 in the secondary? How about 850 in the primary?

where did you find 1600cc injectors for $90? i cant help you with your question but i was wondering the same thing. i have a haltech and 900cc inj on the way in the mail. what sounds like the best combo 2-550primaries with 2-900secondaries, 4 900s, or 2-900cprimaries with 21600secondaries?

The injextors can be found here: http://www.precisionte.com/buicks/injchips.htm
They are the 160lb/hr Bosch injectors near the bottom.
I spoke with Dale Clark last night for a few minutes, and he felt that running 550's in the primary and 1600 in the secondary woul be plenty for what I'd be doing with my 60-1 HiFi setup (probably running between 1 and 1.5 bar)
Going from that, I'd say that if you ran the 900s and the 1600s, you should be just fine.
Keep in mind also, that (I'm almost positive) Brian Cain is running 4 720s with a Haltech, and he has hit around 500 HP at the flywheel on his 60-1.
Good luck with your setup. I just pulled my stuff out of my 87 TII, and all of it (plus my on-order Wolf 4.0) are going into my 10th Ann.

I've heard that the trasition can be a little tricky to tune for when running 550/1600, 720/1600 , but it's done alot. 720's in the primaries would probably be a good choice for your setup.

If you run the 1600s as secondaries you can just stay with a 550 primary. No need for more fuel unless you are looking for more than 600+RWHP. Maybe use less secondary and run a 1300cc injector instead of the 1600s. That still gives you more fuel than a 720/720 setup.

What is the process for each mod? Just drill out the hole the injector fits into? Same for the injector. . .just whittle it down a bit until it fits?
How hard was it to get your 1600s tuned? I think that's a BIT too much fuel for my needs, but I was just wondering. . .
Also, how hard was your installation? Did you keep your wipers, cruise control, etc? I spoke to Scott Neville, and he said that in order to keep these things, I would have to keep the stock ECU with just the wires responsible for running them in place. What do you think?
I'm going to be asking you more questions once the damned thing gets here, BTW. You being a successful Wolf installer and all.

If you're going to run 1600 secondaries it should be able to be tuned well. I'm running 1600 primaries AND secondaries, and my car runs pretty smoothly. It's not perfect yet, but I still need to do some more tuning when I have the chance.
Why would Scott say that? I thought that he was doing Evil Aviator's car. He should know better. You don't need the stock ECU. I just took apart the harness and left the wiper and cruise plugs on it, as well as the wire for the stock temperature gauge. That's all you need from the stock harness. This was on my 89-91 TII harness, but 87-88 TII harnesses should be the same. I can double check for you.
