stand alone question

does buying a standalone ecu completely replace your wiring harness?

second of all, how much of a wiring harness has to actually be plugged in for the car to run? im still fighting with putting my harness in and i dont have a bac plug and im missing atleast one other plug, thanks

Body harness no. Engine harness yes.

Very subjective question. Answer could be anywhere from 1% to 90%.

Car should run fine without a BAC. The "other plugs" since I have no idea what they're for I'm clueless on.

Generally, yes. A standalone would replace the emissions harness.

The stock ECU will run with only the following sensors:

AFM
CAS

It won't run well, but it will run. Minimally for a properly running stock ECU you need:

AFM
CAS
TPS
Intake Air Temp
Engine Coolant Temp
Boost / Pressure Sensor
Atmospheric Pressure Sensor
Knock Sensor
O2 Sensor

Everything else can be unplugged and the car will still run.

There's no such thing as a "Body" harness (I think you mean the Front harness), and the Engine harness does not get touched. The Emissions harness gets removed. The harnesses all have specific names to avoid people getting all confused...
